Eeee!!!! Thank you for reading my post, it's wonderful to know that someone is reading them enough to leave a like. I appreciate the time you take to read my things, soon enough the story will get into a better flow into introducing other characters and it being more confined.
Hopefully when I get onto my laptop I can make my post look more appealing, do stay tuned if you wish.
The Duties Of A Librarian Faint chirping of birds and the tussle of wind breath within the library. It's stillness invited to the conversation of dawn as it were. Accompanied with not only the soft symphony of chirps, underlined to the beat when footsteps eased themselves into the descent of books.
Graced practice on the stage without so much as an afterthought, then hands found themselves outreached. Entangled in an array—utter chaos. Taking another look over them, books lined with gold, Ivory white as it's skin while childishly adorned these covers held paint splotches in the shape of golden butterflies. It's still warm, may it be the sunrays or her childrens presence. Such brought ease to her. Coaxing the book in her arms, holding it a soft hum, loving and pleasant left her lips.
A few moths lingered about calling softly, announcing themselves soundly. Once steps stilled the giantess tilted her head upwards, watching how the children would hum or honk amongst themselves, tiny bodies no larger than an average males hand adorned in cute capes, small bodies made of clay, mask of various shapes and colors, these children of light so happily traversed this place freely. So she simply watched, observed in silence. Then once more her gaze downcasted themselves to the pile of books again, once fingertips lightly traced these pages small speckles of light, little stars appeared in front of her, spelling something out to her. The core above humming faintly, expressing her delight in it's undisturbed orbit around her head, following suit to the halo that rested there.
As these stars spelled out their names her eyes took in every aspect of it, reaching to caress it like prized linen.
'Gladious and Nahami...'
Children born into the fray.
'The children here must've gotten eager to go play.'
Such thoughts always left a gentle smile imprinted on her face. Her day not yet playing in mind, simply leaving it to wherever it will take her.
In any case...
That left the outside world to explore, whether it be the bountiful forest, the sea or perhaps a search for a relic, who's to truly tell. While wind whispers its secrets the grass below calmly listens within wake when I step forward. An eagerness that permeates through me, urging forward into this world once more. One more time Trying again within the unforeseen future, I know not what is held out for me. Yet if it's there, I will surely find it. Afterall I have nothing but time.
The Duties Of A Simple Librarian These are not proof read yet and I'll edit them some other time. As always thank you for taking the time to read my works ^^)
Like the sun that always rises, the moon always falls. When a droplet falls it causes ripples within disturbed stillness. All things happen for a reason. All has its reasons to exist. So why does she? To be labeled as a space nomad of sorts? A seeker of knowledge? A mother? All swarms relentlessly in a mind that used to hold nothing but curiosity, through calculated care and observations morphed into something she dare not name to be human. Afterall all of these actions were mimicry were they not? It must be as my ears tune in once I wake, she feels the gentle caress of sunlight pour into through the canopy of trees above in fractures ever present in her life. Everyday has remnants of the same cycle as the day prior, expressing time and effort within the library at first daylight it not earlier. Organizing books, tending to the moths, the garden and preparing harvest in different ways. The duties of the bookkeeper. It's more than just sitting at a desk hoping for someone to come around.
Constantly wandering, whether it's within the library, a nearby forest or simply resting within space to clear her mind she always observes. When a hand reach upward-outstretched to a place she used to call home thoughts that swarm unpresidented always made their rebound. Much much louder than the last.
Be it via—
Coming across relics, how fragility etched knowingly in these foreign objects of history. To take care of them takes practice because breaking them can take seconds. Mending them within her being, liquid pouring down in starlit flames engulfed books in silent commitment to repair during those late-night excursions and mental rants while these moths-her children rested close. Yearning for her attention when nothing else did long ago. All was still when the whispers of stars befell these empty corridors. The light pouring then dimming upon completion of a new book brought back from the bridges of what was to be forgotten-but not to remain lost. The word hangs within mind a bit too fondly for her liking. Only being accompanied by this emptiness before being brought back to light with a kindred nudge, a reminder that she exist and there's a world outside her head. Looking down to see one of her children near her palm, eyes soft with worry and yearning for attention they walked closer to her, wrapping their arms around her pinky this made everything still, freezing in place once her senses came around, flooding-almost overstimulating before- "... Natima..." Bringing them close to her, said child was now cupped securely within the palm of her hand this child of light glows, holding a special place in her heart, slowly coming to terms with how things are. "Thank you..." Soft spoken words woven with care lingered between them, small hands still holding onto a risen pinky. Wriggling it every now, causing the soft silken strands of them to fall freely, cascading down their shoulders. Resembling a likeness she shared not only with Natima, the others as well, looking at them brought a sense of comfort nothing else could bring. Once they sat there, complacent with her presence they merely observed, wondering what she was going to do next. Her attention returning to the relic she cracked a soft smile, rising her free hand to influence it into floating freely, gently touching the slightly fractured tablet she'd watch as it took course to where it was assigned within her library. This was confirmed with the faint sound of stone placed down on its pedestal. "Lost..." You were never lost... Simply misplaced." As she once was. Until they found her. Open eyes and a fonder heart she decided that it was enough repairing for one day, many other things required her attention
Then wandering into the next place in need of assistance. Such a life brought little silence and she was grateful for it. Much different than the world she came from, devoid of sound unless it was destruction. Here the noise is much manageable and rather peaceful most days.
She missed space, no longer knowing where home was-the meaning of it.
People ask what is the purpose of life, holding it within their minds as they walk, every waking moment asking why are we here. What purpose do we have? In all honesty, all I can implore of those in question is to not give up and endure when things become difficult.
People ask for miracles I offer knowledge, being ask for remedies I show them how to cultivate it themselves. When people are down within their luck my light finds a way to them, ushering them to not give up as I almost did. To put it simply, I do not wish for people to expect me to solely rely on me to fix their issues. It creates an imbalance don't you think? Afterall I'm nowhere near people most days, remaining here or going as far outside of orbit on a whim.
How I'd feel terrible sweeping sorrow if one depended on me that much. Thoughts, images creeping in akin to the cold, peaceful caress of death. Not all peaceful things bring comfort, this place was an underlying reminder of that. So she breathed in, even if it was a meaningless habit to mimic the life of those she lived amongst. Silently hoping-wishing
. . . Only in extreme cases do I provide such services, present me with an issue and I've do my best to help you solve it appropriately. Such has always been my way. "Such as life, at least from what I've observed. Be it just that. Even for a little while longer." Edit: There we go! I've made the post longer and more in depth of how she thinks, Soon enough I'll post a picture of her at some point to get the look of her across more so. As always thank you for reading my story ^^.

(Starting out. In a Library illuminated by candles, moths, and paintings that carried an illuminecence that glows vibrantly when one gets close.)
In this library that carried various smells, one would think that remnants of dust, ink would run its aged musk rampant within this halls they wouldn’t be completely wrong, yet if eyes lingered for a moment longer they’d realize this place held more than what meets the eye.
It isn’t classified as a rarity of sorts to come across it albeit when housed in mountain ranges, as a bird would be within a nest of safety, as she would consider it such.
Books that very much could be considered relics themselves she stood the oldest of them all. With grace instilled, practiced over eons her hum reached no one but supposed lingering lights. (Her core illuminating where she is. Announcing itself similarly to sunlight breaking night into dawn.)
Then to her surprise she heard the footsteps of one making way into the library. Strangers met with stagnant stars the woman who towers tall, taller than the pillars holding the books themselves slowly graced the stranger with her presence. Carrying an aura stained in silent patience, this soft kindred smile on her lips. Hands poised in front of her abdomen, pointing into an upside down triangle.
“Welcome wandering wanderer from afar.," The sudden whisp of voices echoed while words left her mouth, stopping her steps to bow halfway down, breaking away the hand on the right placed itself comfortably over the heart. Where it should be, right? "Whatever you seek here I'm sure you'll find."
A little light came towards her, a moth attracted by flames flew around her-staying close until she stood upright once more, curving her finger into a makeshift perch it rested there, as did her smile with ease.
“Why don't you stay for as long as you wish within this wonderful sanctuary of knowledge.”
"Miss Starlight at your service."
(Hello everyone! This will be the slow development of my of being introduced through the lens of star rail. I hope to eventually have a few different storylines going at some point also, thank you very much for reading my first post.)
The place where my family and I lived, filling its corners with memories and dreams. But the war left us with nothing; our home was bombed 🥺, and everything we owned turned to rubble. In the blink of an eye, we lost the place that sheltered us and the security that held us together as a family.😔
Today, we urgently need your support—not only to rebuild a place we can call ‘home’ but to regain a sense of safety and stability for my family. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help us start over and rebuild what the war destroyed.🙏🏻🍉🇵🇸
Thank you to everyone who supports us and stands by us during this difficult time. Your kindness is the hope that gives us strength to keep moving forward.🙏🏻❤️
