I think acht is an octobrush main specifically bc in my mind its the weapon they (and lots of octoling soldiers) were initially trained on. it was baby acht's first weapon at octarian military preschool and they just could never be bothered to pick up anything else ..

i think acht is a true never-talk-about-feelings warrior. they'll be very obviously having the worst day of their life & someone'll ask them if theyre ok & theyll be like huh? oh yeah im good 👍
i think acht doesn’t like when people worry & care a lot about them. fortunately/unfortunately for them, they are now besties with the Lesbians who Care a Lot (pearl & marina)
i think they do ink battles / inksports in the octo domes too... they have the same gamemodes as the surface, which they learnt through smuggled magazines and other surface media, but maybe they play them a little differently... and maybe they also have their own octo-exclusive gamemodes too!
its one of many octodome kids activities that isn’t technically allowed, but it is almost a form of training, and if the people in power tried to shut it down it’d probably just pop back up again
a big difference is that because it doesn’t have much money or regulation behind it, stages are set up literally wherever theres unused ground. there are some stages that were built by some passionate kids to be perfect battle stages, and there are some stages that were hastily created out of just. whatever. theres probably a popular nearly vertical stage that scales up some abandoned scaffolding.
also i think octarians get really intense about it. they bring the intensity of war to their games without even realising it, its just kind of an instinct-
agent 4 has a huuge family that he goes and visits a couple of times a year. and is also accidentally not very secretive about being a secret agent, but luckily nobody in his family above the age of 10 believes him about any of it. all his young cousins and niblings are Obsessed with his agent stories and everyone else just thinks its a fun lie he came up with to entertain the kids
one time cap'n 3 comes with him and the kids are Ecstatic because OMG its the captain of four’s cool secret agent squad !!!!!!!!! and poor three (who has been trying so very hard to keep their nss involvement a secret) almost has a triple heart attack
so is canned special like. a food or drink? can it go off? how does it taste? does it taste different depending on who manufactured it? depending on what special it gives you? i feel like the kamabo co ones would taste like soap or cough medicine.
the evil kamabo co canned specials and grizzco special packets (taste really really bad) vs the ok cuttlegear/ammo knights canned specials (taste okish. probably still kind of bitter or medicine-y) vs the canned specials that marina makes (genuinely really tasty)

i like to call my agents by their numbers mostly but i do have names for some of them. for example neo 3B’s name is Veron & neo 3A’s name is Ika (she was the only inkling in the village she grew up so her adopted parents were like ‘fuck it we don’t have any other squids to think about so we’ll just call this one squid’ and it stuck) (she’s only a little bit embarrassed by this)
i think some ppl have the headcanon that little buddy will stay small forever, but to me he grows up.. he gets big…. i think it would be funny if when the neo3s are in their mid 20s little buddy still hangs out w them but he’s taller than them & still growing. close to cohock sized young man. but everyone still calls him little buddy
