First things first, let’s brush those teeth so they’re squeaky clean. Can you do it all by yourself, little one? If not I’m here to help, I’ll take care of you. Look at you doing such a good job! You’re doing amazing, sweetheart. Now let’s get you into your jammies. Can you be good and stay still for me, hun?
There we go. Don’t you feel so cozy and ready for bed? Let me tuck you in. Can’t forget your stuffies, it’s bedtime for them too. Let’s get you both tucked into bed. You did so wonderful today, little one. You had such a busy day today and had so many little adventures. Now it’s time to close your eyes and curl up, I’m right here with you. I won’t go anywhere. Sweet dreams, little one.

I can see that something’s weighing on your little heart, and that’s okay. You don’t have to be happy all the time. You don’t have to push your feelings away or pretend they’re not there. It’s okay to feel sad, or angry, or scared. Feelings can be big and heavy sometimes, but you don’t have to carry them all on your own.
I’m right here, love bug. No matter what you’re feeling, I will always be here. You don’t have to explain, you don’t have to fix anything—you can just be, exactly as you are. If you need to cry, I will hold you close. If you need to stomp your little feet, I will be right here to keep you safe. If you need quiet, I will sit beside you and hold your hand so you know you’re not alone.
You are so precious, just as you are, in every feeling, in every moment. Your emotions don’t make you too much, and they don’t make you bad. They just mean you are you, and that is the most wonderful thing in the whole world.

Don’t say that you’re okay with age regression if you aren’t okay with
- Whiney littles.
- Padded littles.
- Littles who have accidents.
- Littles who throw tantrums.
- Littles who misbehave.
- Littles who get on their caregivers nerve and push their buttons.
- Littles who are sensitive.
- Littles who get unapologetically cranky and snappy at times.
- Littles who need things to be just right.
- Littles who are a bit of a brat (or a lot of a brat!)
- Littles who have meltdowns of rage.
- Littles who scream, cry, crash out and throw fits.
- Littles who are boys.
- Littles who are girls.
- Littles who are trans.
- Littles who are gnc (gender non-conforming.)
- If you’re just not ready to handle ALL aspects of little space. The good, the bad, the cutesy, the ugly, etc.
I refuse to believe that you aren’t okay with Little Space unless you’re ready to handle the ENTIRE Little Space. It is a HUGE red flag for me.
