The whole point is that Azazel gave them jewelry with a bloody red droplet on it. (I'm thinking of making him a big black dog with yellow eyes) They fought The Fallings (Michael and his gang) protecting our planet, except they beat the wrong bad guy. Instead, they allowed and protected inter-dimensional evil to seep into the earth, slowly consuming it.
