Harkness test for the uninitiated:
- Question 1: Does the character have human intelligence or greater?
- Question 2: Can the character talk or otherwise communicate with language?
- Question 3: Is the character of sexual maturity for its species?
It's essentially used to determine if a non-human or alien character could be considered an acceptable sexual partner.

They work for the Parallax Inter-Astral Salvagers; a company in charge of the disposal of debris out in the cosmos in order to make spacefaring safe and smooth. They primarily collect space junk and tow personal spacecrafts adrift in space, but occasionally they get to search commercial ships or large space stations for any thing of value or missing based on request. Sometime, they even get to keep anything valuable they might find on any of their jobs.
