Aphmau- Alicia, this is her first roll that isn't a live theater thing, musically trained.
Aaron- Aaron, people joke that his name is the reason he's got the roll, he's really sorta a nepo baby but his dad REALLY didn't want him to act. Is also a model.
Kc- Mieko, J-fashion influencer turned actor!
Zane- Nolan, lot less introverted in person than on screen, an open pony lover.
Ein- Christian, it's not a wig! He dyes his hair for the roll, and practices his Evil Speech Voice™ always.
Katelyn- Alexandra, does all of her own fighting scenes
Blaze- Dylan, bursts into other actors interviews and joins them
Dante- Nick, aroace Irl, finds it funny all the lady troubles his character gets into
Kim- Holly, really apologetic to Nolan after the obsessive ghost scenes, always has snacks with her.
Laurance- Cayden, got caught up in health stuff and his character disappears for a while (ha)
Lucinda- Dawn, real witchcraft practitioner, trying to direct the writing away from typical stereotypes
Melissa- Veronica, not actually Aarons sister but they look scary similar
Travis- Elliot, far sweeter and not creepy irl, Alex and him are inseparable on set and he has. Quite a few bruises from her being a bit overzealous on set (he really doesn't mind)
Garroth- Sam, forgets his lines often, the breaking down doors bit happened because he went to bust into a room for a scene and it came off the hinges because he was a little too aggressive.

This is an idea I've been sitting on since the AU was first imagined I just haven't had an appropriate fancast for young Garte until now. Shoutout to Alex, Cinna, and Twi who all agreed to be quoted (more or less) after I sparked a spiral on discord with Connor Storie as young Garte, and to James for being a Garroth stan in real life and in the AU. Crayons and Gummie did not participate in the conversation and are thus not quoted I just used them as they were already established in the AU

i have a serious topic of debate that ive been sitting with
now let me explain why i actually wonder. i know most assume him to be levin’s age, but hold on now. im rewatching diaries for the nine millionth time and i caught a dialogue line from travis. enki’s island has been safe-ish from the demon warlock for the past one hundred years thanks to travis’s mother. yes, she was in combat with the demon warlock for many years, but it was when she sacrificed her life to hinder the demon warlock’s power that everything shifted…
one HUNDRED years ago.
travis was old enough when his mother died to remember her very, very well, from more than just hearsay from the villagers of the enki warrior tribe. therefore, he must be over 100 years old?
but the enki warrior tribe are humans. im about to yap but let me cook.
oh also another one of my theories/headcanons about diaries and travis related things. something i think about all the time.
see i choose to subscribe to the belief that every descendant of enki who obtains his relic will inevitably become the demon warlock. i believe that this corruption is fueled by enki’s grief and towards guilt for what he did to shad the destroyer, mixed with shad casting a curse on enki’s relic in his final moments during the war of the magi.
also because of this concept i’ve vaguely heard of that if you know too much, and you almost understand it but then fail to, you will lose your mind. enki the keeper kept aaaaalllll of the knowledge of the war of the magi and the divine warriors, and i headcanon the world. i headcanon that to be enki’s power as a divine warrior. but for someone who knows only a human amount to suddenly stumble into that power, especially records of events that have been widely mistranslated, lied about, etc, shattering their view of literally everything…
