so kanade and ena, their names practically mean “music” and “art.” their whole existence is defined by the things they create. and it’s in large part because of their fathers’ influence, their fathers who most likely named them. in a sense, it’s sweet, naming your daughter after the thing that matters most to you in the world. but then not knowing how to cope when she takes a liking to that thing too, the thing you literally named her after? it’s fascinating how music and art respectively brought these families together but tore them apart in equal measure, and how kanade and ena will never escape that legacy because it’s written in the fabric of their very being.
