The most recent ceasefire has not meant an end to genocide. We must contextualize this truth within the larger historical reality: Palestine has been enduring genocidal aggression from Israel since 1948. There are periods of greater intensity, but no periods of actual relief from this state. This is the reality of all settler-colonial projects, including Zionism. We must combat this genocide not as an outlier, but as deeply embedded in global structures of colonialism.

These are not unprecedented times. This moment of constant atrocity continues steadily from each previous year. There is no way to rewind the clock. This does not mean further atrocity is inevitable. It is not fate.

Genocide is not a force of "human nature" that we must live with. It is something humans are doing, and allowing to happen, and fighting against, and being martyred within, and surviving, all at once.

We all have a role to play in how things progress from here. Time moves forward, and we must take accountability for how our collective decisions shape the future we must all endure.

My friend Fadel is enduring the roughest consequences of all of our collective decisions. He is a young man, living in Gaza. He survived the bombing of his family home, but lives with chronic pain from untreated injuries. His family has been living in a tent since then, tattered and repeatedly flooded in winter storms. They have been sick for weeks now, unable to recover under these conditions.

@fadel-dani runs a fundraiser to afford food, supplies, and medicine (gazavetters list #197). Hopefully he will raise enough to get to a better resourced hospital outside of Gaza where surgeons can remove the shrapnel from his body that causes him constant pain.

These are the events of his life. We cannot go back in time and prevent these traumas from happening to him. His life can only move forward from this moment. We all have a role to play in what happens to him from here. Please help change the course of his life.

I am one of the victims of this Nazi-like occupation. Our house was bombed while we were inside, resulting in me being injured by shrapnel that remains embedded in my body to this day. This is due to the destruction of all our hospitals by the Israeli occupation. Currently, the entry of medicines and medical equipment necessary for surgeries for the injured is being prevented. Therefore, I urgently need your help in donating so that I can raise the funds for my treatment, travel expenses, and surgery as soon as possible. Please donate.

Please, if you can donate anything, share some funds with him. If you can't, reblog this and help get more eyes on Fadel's story. Comment encouraging others. It all helps.

Why doesn't the world understand this reality? Why is everyone ignoring what's happening in Gaza? Why are you letting us die while you watch? As you can see, they started in Gaza, then Venezuela, and who knows who will come next? America and Israel are the ones destroying the world and killing innocent people.

The war in Gaza hasn't stopped, not even for a few days. Every day that passes brings more deaths, gunfire, and attacks. Please don't ignore us, and don't remain silent about what's happening to us.

My family and I are suffering terribly right now. We can't bear the cold, the rent is exorbitant, and we're still suffering from war, fear, and displacement. Please don't ignore us. Please help us before we die. Please donate.

Nader is now suffering from high prices, the cold, and the ongoing war, which hasn't stopped even with the ceasefire. Please help my friend Nader escape from the Gaza Strip.

All we ask for is a decent life and a peaceful environment like everyone else, treatment for my father, and security for my niece and the rest of the ST family. Please help us, donate to us, and give us hope. Your donations help us greatly. Please donate. We only need 3000 euros to reach our goal. Please donate now and share.

please donate

one of the worst things about this website is this push to convince people that their natural disgust responses to some of the most horrific crimes in society make them reactionary puritan moralists. sometimes your instincts really are correct in telling you that something is wrong and disgusting. anyone asking you to interrogate your feelings of revulsion towards pedophilia is not a safe person, especially for children. holy shit I can't believe this is even mildly controversial
