unfortunately i tend to. delete the planning messages from my personal discord once im done with the final post but you can see it through my sketches that the ending was entirely different at one point! (ft my barebones sketches, some of them are really clear while others are utterly incomprehensible!!! what happened to that horse!!!!)

it was going to end with wind because he would fucking adore meeting flora and seeing her Here is a situation he would catch on as Unusual faster than the rest i feel like. that being said while i felt like it was In Character for the circumstances at hand, it drew away from the dear Fellow Soldier focus, so i pivoted the ending for aoc!zelda (Unity? i dont really like that her name is Unity tbh smth smth backhanded insult against flora etc but im not here to argue whats already been established in the wider fandom consensus so Unity it shall remain) to find flora instead and have age come in. i felt that it was more fitting thematically in this au regarding mirror images and what-could-have-beens versus what-is

you can see with this thumbnail, the left panel is pretty different! i had to account for a different head angle because it didnt feel like wars n age were looking UP enough

in terms of coloring this i dont have much to say other than i played really loose with it because ive had this script since [SQUINTS AT THE SCREENSHOTS] the end of august and got too in my head about coloring it fully but suffice to say while i really like doing shading and wanted to push it a bit further, its really the lineart thats doing a LOT of the legwork to make these images more coherent

shoutout to that one headcanon fic writers carry with them into every fic. like even if u missed the authors name or don’t recognize the style u see the headcanon mentioned and it’s like, oh yeah, i know who wrote this, certified banger from them once again

Regarding the Evolution of Four’s Hair

Some of you have pointed out that Four’s hair is becoming more layered and “fluffy” as time goes on. we all know that this is just an art choice and jojo can do whatever feels right to her I did extensive research to find the cause and the answer may surprise you.

Sooooo one of my favorite whumptober fics ever is chapter 14 from @skyward-floored’s 2024 collection (whole thing is 10/10 tbh). I don’t usually draw whumpy stuff but, once again, I’ve read it too many times and here we are.

This little comic is because of two headcanons I have xD

The first is that Wind is good at stealing things, like really good. Many times he uses that ability in battle to move items between everyone but he also likes to cause some chaos and steals things for fun.

And the other headcanons is that becaise of their family connection, Four when he has his hair messy and is without his bandana he really does look like Wind.
