hullo. you may call me jupiter. i don’t really see why you’d be here unless were like friends or something but hi! welcome! i’m a guy who just hangs out here, loves nuclear stuff and cats, and reblogs whatever catches my fancy. i do write but The Horrors make it so i post maybe 1% of what i’ve written

i have a major neurodevelopmental disorder and, separately, an endocrine disorder, which not only fuck me up severely, but also need to be managed by some pretty hardcore meds that fuck me up severely, so i’ve got a lot going on. hormones affect the whole body, yo!

usual stuff, fuck TERFs and all their transmisogyny, if nobody’s being hurt, mind your damn business, and do not under any circumstances call me a woman, because i’m not.

some quick and dirty tag stuff

what is dark within me: basically my pinterest board for my OC lucy, also some lucyposting there too. it’s a book quote not totally edgy but it is a little

for the bestie: curated stuff for my friend :)

humor: stuff i find funny and want to find again

fav: stuff i really like

i dont tag my queue and i tag things otherwise like half the time so good luck!

My heart is genuinely breaking for the HHS announcements about putting FDA regulations on binders. Fucked up to the core

If anything serious happens to binder access, make sure to hoard resources like this!

thinking about the time some terf dipshit on twitter said "you weirdos will be saying TREES are a social construct next" and I got nerdsniped and waded in like "trees ARE a social construct. there is no fundamental binary characteristic that separates trees from other plants" and well, I'll spare you the details but the conversation ended with the dipshit yelling "PALM TREES HAVE WOOD" which is hilarious because "wood" actually does have a pretty unambiguous, binary definition and palms in fact do not qualify

I usually try to be tolerant of anachronisms in books, particularly ye olde medieval generic swords and sorcery type books, but I think I broke the sound barrier with how quickly I just shot out of my immersion in this book when ye olde ancient archivist in the ye olde fantasy-england castle's library tells the protag where to find a certain book by giving him its dewey decimal number.

Today in an arthurian retelling set in pre-saxon britain I encountered a character who said he was going to quit drinking "cold turkey," which I think puts him roughly a thousand years prior to European awareness of the existence of turkeys, and the dissonance had barely registered in my mind before I remembered the medieval lending library run on the dewey decimal system and decided a chronologically misplaced poultry idiom wasn't worth noticing in comparison.

I see and respect the vision for an aesthetically arcane-esque animated locked tomb adaptation but the only way I can picture a tlt show is the most visually sumptuous live action possible. the narrative voice, especially in gtn, lingers so much on exactly how things look, spending paragraphs on the makeup of characters who mean fuck all to the story and what feels a full act just describing "dulcinea's" eye color and dress material, I need to see Fabrics. I need to see Bone Rosaries. I need them to rebuild the palace of versailles on a little island and then half blow it up to use it for filming the first house. I need the set and costume budgets to be so ridiculously high that it gives me sympathetic heart palpitations to look at.
