Kanojo, Okarishimasu 4th Season

After the success of his crowdfunded movie featuring the woman of his dreams, Chizuru Ichinose, university student Kazuya Kinoshita resumes his life of lies and deception. Although he pretends that he has been in an ideal relationship with Chizuru for more than a year, Kazuya still mostly sees her through a rental girlfriend company's services.

However, after Kazuya attends a private party with Chizuru, he reaches the decision to finally confess his feelings to her. Unfortunately for him, his trial girlfriend Ruka Sarashina and his ex-girlfriend Mami Nanami continue to complicate his already messy attempts at romance. While he is forced to keep up his facade, Kazuya is under pressure to find a solution to his ever chaotic love life.

In my opinion,
Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 4 was a very enjoyable and heartfelt season that showed good improvement in its story and pacing.

The Hawaii arc added a fresh setting that made the characters more expressive and gave the story a new charm.

The animation and direction were consistent, making every romantic and funny moment more meaningful and fun to watch.

Chizuru’s softer side and Kazuya’s efforts to be more serious made their relationship feel more real and emotional.

Overall, this season was touching, entertaining, and full of charm, reminding me why I enjoy the series so much.

Mixed Feelings

'Why did they make a 4th season of this???' I say as I get excited for season 5...
Don't get me wrong, I don't think I could recommend this to anyone I know, but it's just my guilty pleasure.
kanokari is known already for being bad, but this is the worst season so far.
Some moments were so unbearably cringe (ESPECIALLY kazuya bro, he's such a loser) that I had to watch them in 2x which on top of watching the rly bad dub made it very funny.

The only character I actually liked throughout the series is Mami, I mean her main goal is to expose kazuya's ... lies, and I HATEEE HIM so of course I wanna see that happen. So yeah the only thing I liked about s4 was the lots of mami screentime lol
Also her design is the cutest one of all imo! the other girls' designs are so boring (except for sumi, I like her too and this season would've been better with her in it).

Anyway this season did not show any kind of improvement whatsoever, most of the characters and conversations feel awkward and empty.
The art is okay, the music is okay too. The 12 episodes were entertaining I guess, but nothing has rly changed, the plot has not progressed AT ALL.
Kazuya is still the same pathethic gooner. Chizuru is more of a pushover and loser than before. Ruka is still the most fucking annoying bitch on all of anime and I mean that (I do NOT understand how there's ppl that like her, if ruka is in ur favorites get tf away from me). Mami is still a manipulative twofaced girlboss.

Basically what I mean to say is, this show is so bad it makes u laugh. It’s unintentional comedy.
so would I recommend this to you??? well if u have a lot of freetime and like hate-watching cringe stuff then yeah watch it, or use it as background while doing other things, but don't expect anything good. And if you actually value ur time, then go watch something else.

I'm only being nice and giving this a 5 because I like Mami.
I'd act that way too if I was involved in a hazzle like that, poor granny bro T_T
and Mami's relatable cuz I also use twitter like that (ᵕ„ • ᴗ •„)

Idk why I got this far if I didn’t like it either.

Every character sucks.
Kazuya: annoying idiot who shouts all the time. Stop being so horny for boobs under sweatshirts you’re 20+ years old & he’s not interesting enough otherwise to be entertaining.
Mizuhara: “It’s just business”
Kazuya Girlfriend: incredibly annoying, stale, tragic?
Mami: aren’t we supposed to be in college? How hasn’t she been called out? Not distanced from? Am I missing that she’s everyone’s childhood friend or something? Delete from show plz poorly written “conflict.”
Zoomer: not that bad BUT ofc she’s gotta be a freak calling Kazuya shishou
Shy girl: WHO ACTUALLY CARES

... Story/Dialogue.
Honestly the little colorful pops-ups that show what’s written in the manga sound genuinely interesting. Too bad they haven’t used them as the anime’s dialogue. Instead the dialogue is terrible. Main story = not moved along = also terrible.

Impression.
I don’t think people who even enjoy watching a romcom trainwreck will like this season. I don’t particularly the genre ngl, but thought season 1 was ok, 2 was bad, 3 was eh. This season was just stupid. Not “junk food,” not a guilty pleasure, but worse than I could have expected.

But It’s prettier than shows I like better ;) and it’s made me wanna ~try~ the manga, so it gets a 2.
