| What a bond. Shizuku can prepare her own bonfire now and this seems to be the first time she and Gen are prepared together. Food is simple with the beer and snacks too. Seems Shizuku's learning about camping improves with each episode. I'm impressed actually. |

Route from this episode. From Sakudaira Station to Arafune Panorama Campfield in the city of Saku, Nagano Prefecture. I'm not 100% sure about the route from this episode because it was moving too fast, but the origin and the destination are definitely these two locations. |

| She can do Vietnamese food too?? What can’t she make!! I love how Shizuku being so good at cooking is making Gen interested in learning how to cook and the way he just enjoys seeing her at peace, being happy while cooking is so cute. They’re both rubbing off on each other in the best way. We also got to learn about clouds and fog formation and the importance of always being aware of your surroundings at a campsite. I thought Shizuku might ask Gen to sleep in his tent today since she was scared, but nope haven’t got there yet. We are making progress tho, they at least went home on the same train today and Shizuku realizes she knows little about Gen’s past. I know it’s kinda the show’s thing to have them “solo camp for two”, but I wonder if we’ll ever see them just go on a trip together like normal people lol. Also, surprised we didn’t see Gen’s ex today. |

| When Gen got up on day 2 and had told Shizuku to prepare for something exciting I thought it was for something like going on a scenic hike, instead it was for watching the sunrise and then going back to sleep lol. Gen does have a point in that it's nice to be able to relax and not be in a hurry. Regarding the next episode preview, I noticed that Shizuku might be meeting Gen's ex... hopefully there won't be much (if any) drama regarding that. |

| They didn't even really try to be realistic about what you could or should pack on a multi day trip where bag space is of the essence. Shizuku brought "necessities" like a Dutch oven and cheese grater. At least the flambe torch can double as a firestarter but that's pretty big. I was also going to complain about Gen having room for quite a few tall beer cans and Shizuku having a wine box but they had Gen go to that store to restock on booze. Also, people in Japan are allowed to bring big knives, hatchets and flambe torches onto trains, wtf :D At first I wondered why Shizuku bothered Gen about having to go pee but she wanted to go to the public restroom rather than pop a squat. Also I more strongly suspect she had to poop because if she just had to pee, she could just go anywhere really, especially since the fog was so dense, Gen would be very unlikely to see her. Also I suspected she wanted to freshen up in the restroom in case Gen wanted to fool around and to smell ok. Speaking of that, does Gen need to be hit over the head when a woman is giving him signals? She straight up asked him to keep her company while she gets to sleep. I swear if Shizuku said "oh god I want your cock", he'd come back with a rooster :D |
| I maybe would have liked to have seen a bit more of Nagano itself. Maybe I'm just a bit too used to Yuru Camp's level of detail when it comes to these real world locations, but I don't think there was much different in this episode in terms of the non-character stuff than there have been in the episodes where they weren't in Nagano. Having said that, Vietnamese food while camping isn't the worst idea. Lots of tasty, easy-to-prepare finger foods. They have definitely taken a lot of the rough edge away from Gen at this point. He's really softening up and it's nice to see. Walking Shizuku to the bathroom and staying outside her tent until she sleeps are W moves. |

| Gen and Shizuku on their multi-day Nagano camping trip, there's still necessities needed to be done in an unfamiliar environment, and caring for nature at the very same time too with equipment designed to not harm the greenery as well. Of course, Shizuku whipping up Vietnamese food is a surprise, and it always goes well with Gen's tastes when Shizuku decides to whip up her own variations that makes him jealous all the more. And that's a wrap for Day 1! Day 2 of the multi-day trip sipping coffee and watching the sunrise, Gen going to sleep for the free time he has, that's his own arrangement, but Shizuku is wide awake, so breakfast it is to prep, and sightseeing along the way. And despite seeing Shizuku make up her delicious dinner meals that warrants Gen hismelf wanting to make a dish of his own someday, just shut the talk and taste Shizuku's food making for some good time. However, bad rain and a heavy fog dismisses the visibility for Shizuku to use the bathroom in the dead of the night. And as Gen would expect, the fog is heavier than he imagined, and since he offered help when Shizuku needs it, this is quite an optimal time for fog survival, like using headlamps to find one's way. Most certainly, Shizuku feels restless with the fog, and Gen having his own experience in fog-like conditions in the great outdoors, it certainly helps Shizuku get her good sleep, rounding up the multi-day trip with the relationship's elevation being Gen's childhood. Not to worry Shizuku, you still have time to get to know Gen! |
