| More storytelling about Kana and Gen. I think outside of his relationship with Shizuku, they are the most important pair since they had a history. Kinda interesting how their relationship originally started but lead to a breakup. Shizuku's camping involved grilling BBQ, but yeah, her mind was also somewhere else. She's becoming more independent as a solo camper though. |

| Kana, you will always be best girl in my world. Idk why I got my hopes up, but I kinda wanted a Gen x Kana kiss after Gen finally came clean with her about the mistakes he made in the past. I like her way more than Shizuka, but tbh they’re on different paths in life at this point so it was never meant to be. Shit’s sad but sometimes you do just drift apart from people as you get older and develop your own path in life. It’s hard because you love a person, but realize this isn’t the best situation for you. Kana deserves someone that can fully support her dreams. For Gen, this was a chance for him to recognize what went wrong in the past and to make sure it doesn’t happen again. You can never go wrong when you’re just honest with people and you know Kana would’ve completely understood if you were open about feeling nervous, lost, inadequate etc., everyone has their own journey and clock in life. You’re only competing with yourself, not anyone else. The way Kana encouraged him to not let Shizuka go after all that is very sweet. Shizuka starting to become a camping expert in her own right, the way she’s teaching her friends about barbecue techniques is really cool. I’m looking forward to her having a leadership role on that cottage camping trip too lol. TIL the difference between camping and camping out. At least you know campsites are pretty safe, I’d be scared to camp in the middle of the woods or a national park where there’s not infrastructure to assist in an emergency or anything, but more power to ya. What’s really nice there is that even without Gen ever telling her, Shizuka immediately clocks that he’d do well as a campsite owner and she wants to help out. Clearly trying to beat us over the head with the fact she’s a better choice for Gen at this stage in his life, never seen bro blush like that ever lol. It is really a beautiful thing when someone truly understands and appreciates you and your dreams. Bittersweet episode, but one chapter ends and another one begins. It’s time for Gen to start focusing on the here and now like his father and even Kana, would want him to. |

| Well seems like the girls had fun with that bbq and it looks like next week they are going to a cabin. Gen not being as critical of the type of camping someone is doing as Shizuku expected. I also have to say the car in the background transforming several times over the course of the evening. |
| Really love seeing Shizuku fantasise about how her and Gen could be together they would run the perfect campsite. |

| Gen decides to be honest and forthright with both himself and Kana, and to give due praise to Kana for her goals and to expounds on his dream. character development +4. That's more in one episode than the entire cast of an average high school romcom has for a season. Immediately followed by density: "Honestly, what is everyone on about?" Shizuku starting and looking at the departing aircraft was a good touch for ending an arc. I, of course, prefer natural lump charcoal. "That old guy." Gen very open minded about recreational preferences, as he should be. |

| Glad that Gen and Kana were able to get closure so that they can both move on. Also, it's cool that Gen revealed his dream and Shizuku imagining them running a campsite together was cute and wholesome. Regarding the next episode, hopefully the girls have fun on their outing while staying at a cottage and with Shizuku being the lead. |

| Good to see Gen and Kana in good terms in the end. I'm glad Gen was able to be honest with himself and with Kana I loved Shizuku's idea of Gen's camping spot with her being the cook. It sounds like a good idea, especially if they really get married in the future |

| My favorite episode so far. A lot of developing from Gen. The scene in the airport was better than I imagined, so glad they ended up in such good terms. Kana is great! And Shizuku imagining them working on a camping site was so cute! |

| Gen finally told her feelings to Kanna, and it's good to see it. Kanna may lose the fight, but that seems to be ok for her! Shizuku seeing the future with Gen with the same project is pretty cool! |

| Gen chasing his ass to the airport to talk it out with Kana before her departure, the two finally talking their problems out after putting each other off for 10 years, it's better to have this much-needed talk which its long delay has been a time coming. And with Gen finally realizing his dream, Kana can leave without any regrets leaving him in Shizuku's hands. Meanwhile, Shizuku and her friends doing BBQ-ing at Saya's place, the former using her solo camping experience to make a worthy time between friends as a prep to their cottage camping, it's all fine and good. Of course, Shizuku would come to Gen telling him this exact news, though he doesn't dispute that their cottage camping is a good point for starters, that people have their own styles and is/are worth enjoying in one's own way. And as an expert, Gen putting responsibility on Shizuku on her taking care of her friends for the cottage camping trip, the feeling is as mutual as recognizing her wide range of concocted food. As is with every camping, there're rules and regulations to follow when it comes to free camping, which waste and such equals freedom based on camping locations and the like, though it depends on the person him/herself on where they like to do camping. And as luck would have it, Shizuku supporting Gen's dream to run his own campsite, with her imagining how life would be with Gen as a couple, it's great and all, but the middle-aged man just doges the question and sticks to the traditional camping style. That's it for the 1st Cour, a good stopping point if the anime chooses to end here, but thankfully we have the 2nd Cour to go with Shizuku and her friends' cottage camping! |

| Such well written characters, all with their own flaws... And how it handled the "drama." Surprising to see it has such a low score. One thing I didn’t expect was how much the adult relationship angle would elevate the whole series. That layer of emotional maturity is something I wish more shows attempted, because it pushes the series from “comfy outdoor anime” into something more meaningful. |
