That's cool! I have a GameBoy Color and have played a few Gen 1 and 2 games on it, but nowadays Yellow won't work anymore, and Silver doesn't save (it had that issue when I got it, same with Gold, which I tested in store once but didn't buy after realizing it had the same issue as Silver did).. I also lost my copy of Red a few years ago and have been searching for it since, but I feel like it was either stolen or my brothers lost it somewhere since I've looked all over the house and couldn't find it..xd I hope I can redeem myself one day and get functional copies for those titles, since I really like the retroness of older pokémon games, lol!x'D

Haha, that's fine! I used to only do that (update the list) when I first joined MAL, since that's why I got my account back then, but over time as I met different kind of people, I was eventually invited to join some clubs and participate in the forums, and I feel l'm more active there then on my own profile these days, lol..xDD

I actually ended up giving 42 little holiday gifts at work — yes, forty‑two — even though most of my coworkers barely acknowledge my existence. It nearly broke my wallet, but hey, I was trying to spark some human interaction in that workplace jungle. I’ve been there over five years, and people have literally sidestepped me like I’m an NPC with a bad side quest.

My wage went up to around $31/hour, so escaping is… financially complicated. For now, I just stream Demon Slayer on Crunchyroll through Amazon Prime and pretend I’m living my best anime life. The holidays drained me, but my sister reminded me, “You can’t buy friends, even with a million dollars.” Fair enough — but a few coworkers actually smiled and waved after getting their $4 soap gifts, and honestly, that tiny bit of friendliness is all I wanted. I just want a workplace where people talk to me about something other than deadlines.

At least you are one of the MAL people who reply to me since messaging you on mid-2024. I think it was 2024 that I got to know you through MAL. Only the MAL database would really know because I am too lazy to check when you accepted me as an online friend. Anyway, I have just splurged some of my money on Christmas shopping for family members and co-workers. So, I have only been watching the latest episodes of Spy x Family Season 3 (and attempting to read Jujutsu Kaisen manga as well). I hope to save some money next year so I can buy manga box sets of series I adore (Demon Slayer, The Promised Neverland). For this holiday season, I am trying not to be broke; or rather, trying to save some money for next month (or rather, for next year). The holidays are expensive. Department stores and shopping establishments are totally making money out of the holidays.

I've seen days you are about to see, I have observed who were successful and who were not. So it provided me with a big perspective. You will sound same when you graduate too

That's fine. Anime and manga media are therapeutic for me. They are my little pieces of joy. I lost friends in real life and online (MAL). I even lost connections with my former MAL friends even after sending them messages or updates. But, whatever, MAL isn't my world and friend (in real life and in online) come and go. It's a platform that's been around for many years, but, it's not the only way to connect with people. 😊
