In fact, I thoroughly enjoyed most of my sixes and have some nice things to say about them. As well, just because I harshly scored a show you like does not mean I think less of you. I recognize we all have different tastes/values and find it engaging to discuss/argue the merits of shows. Please do not take my numbers as a personal attack. On another note, I actually break down the 1-10 scale even further into categories indicated by colour (currently at 51 categories total). This is partially represented on MAL by the 'Priority' filter (High, Medium, Low) but if you ever are curious about the breakdown, I'd be happy to discuss. I'm a strong believer in rating shows I have not finished While I concede that my scores may not be accurate to the work as a whole, they are representative of what I think of the parts I have seen as well as where I believe it will go. I have opinions about shows I've dropped and see no value in sitting through a full show I don't enjoy, just so I can voice said opinion. On top of that, this system keeps me from wasting time on mediocrity, so I can get to the good stuff. Misc. Watching/Scoring Rules - I try to give all 1+ cours shows three episodes before I drop, but I may drop sooner. - Any show completed deserves at minimum a five (Exceptions made for shorts, movies, AWC items, Precure, and some other situations). - Any show dropped may earn at maximum a five. - Specials/OVAs associated with a main season are counted as part of that season and are not indicated separately on my list. - Similarly, some shows with the 'Multi' tag represent multiple MAL entries I feel should be considered together. - I try to limit the total watching + on-hold shows to 10, but I push that boundary quite a bit. Seasonals/simuls don't count towards this. - I may switch to 1.5x or 2x speed on shows that I dont intend to give above a six, depending on my mood. - Overall, I'm just trying to have fun. While I tend to take things seriously and may get obsessive, this is a hobby, not a job.  |

Shugo Chara has been on my radar forever too — I used to see clips of it all the time, it feels like peak 2000s nostalgia in the best way haha. And Fushigi Mahou Fun Fun Pharmacy sounds so cozy and wholesome?? I really love that kind of gentle, wonder-filled vibe between heavier shows.
I think I’ll start with Star☆Twinkle first when I get some breathing room from my internship (and mental energy back lol). Which Precure season do you think is the most emotionally rewarding one overall? I feel like the franchise has some real hidden depth behind all the sparkle! ✧
Ohhh a magical girl enthusiast! That's so cool~ I love that you've basically gone through every franchise and are now scraping the barrel lol. That's some serious dedication to the genre! q(≧▽≦q) Honestly I'm always up for magical girl recommendations if you have any! I've watched the classics like Sailor Moon and Madoka Magica, but I'm sure there are some hidden gems out there I haven't discovered yet. What's your personal favorite magical girl series? And do you have any lesser-known ones you'd recommend to someone looking to branch into the genre more?
