Heyo, just call me Li.
I have long felt magnetized by animation from a very young age, but ever since I watched a crunchy upload of Tokyo Underground on YouTube on my 4th gen iPod Touch in the early 2010s, I've fallen in love with anime. Many late nights spent binging countless shows till late into the A.M. during high school transitioned into a deep fascination with the countless often lesser known masterpieces that have come from Japan in my adulthood. Though I do have a soft spot for old OVAs, with titles like Black Magic M66, Genesis Surviver Gaiarth, and Rayearth, I enjoy new and old anime alike, as well as some western animation. I'm finally here on MAL to get my list together and catalogue my journey as best I can, and hopefully, find more of the anime I now adore.
Mob Psycho 100
To be frank, I love this show with my heart and soul. The connections between Mob and other characters, such as Dimple, Hanezawa, and especially Reigen, are the burning, vibrant core of this anime. The sharp comedy weaves through its many layers, the combat. the romance, the regular character interactions, all with a genuine and powerful delivery that rarely misses. The animation, while based on One's messy style (which I have grown to love), is translated with a fidelity that never ceases to impress, and when the action kicks in, boy does it kick. End to end, all of the above combined with its depictions of the power of perseverance, integrity, and community makes this anime outshine all others. Your life is your own.
