In general, I'm open for a variety of genres, demographics and decades, but I do have a soft spot for fantasy, adventure, steampunk and supernatural horror.
Also I play games, read novels, watch western animation and live action movies and series sometimes, a few times a year. I read ca. 10-20 novels a year. Although my main entertainment media has always been, still is and will be anime and manga and, since a bunch of years, TTRPGs.
MY LIST
Series: ~ 280 individual series (not counting sequels etc., full length episodes)
Movies: ~ 200 (non series related, full-length (above 60 Minutes))
OVAs: ~ 180 (not counting series related, full-length episodes)
ONAs: ~ 35 (not counting sequels etc., full-length episodes)
Music: ~ 300 (various short music videos)
Why so many anime and manga?
Uhm, because I'm old. Lot of childhood series aren't completed, tho.
On average I engage myself into anime and manga for 1-3 hours a day since 20+ years, so yeah... that adds up.
Often I just take a look into a show and decide, if I should keep it.
Recommendations?
Please do not recommend something to me, I always got a lot of anime to watch and manga and novels (also western ones) to read.
For Secret Santa:
Please only recommend me entries from my paused- or my plan to watch-list.
Also no sequels / prequels / other entries related to series I have already seen.

NEVER WATCHED MUCH OF / NOT FOND OF
One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail, Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, Black Clover, Fire Force ... lot of lengthy and popular battle shounen, with a few exceptions.
Not fond of most ecchi, because it's too often very juvenile.
I don't care about most (ball) sports anime and school romances either.
WHAT I (DIS)LIKE IN CHARACTERS
In general I like various types of characters, except bland slates, edgelords & co.
Also I'm not fond of "strong independent women", who are just acting like a bratty and rude teenager, like a macho man or look down on other women. This is mostly an issue in some western life action and animated shows. But yeah no... not a fan of girlbosses at all.
For and foremost I like kind characters, who feel real and manage to have depth without coming across too much as goodie-two shoes, holier than thou or doormats. In most cases.
In general I like complex and fun, quirky characters with different sides to them and I like good-natured people, who fucked up in some way or another and get some interesting (inner) struggles to deal with.
Also I like (often powerful or influental) characters, who have to deal with the responsibility coming with their power and position they are in.
I'm really fond of - especially - intelligent women and non-binary characters with strong passions, and in general I like competent characters. Also it's great to see characters, who I can interpret as neurodivergent, without them being the extremely antisocial and "robotic" stereotype, portrayed as pitiful or similar. Love the "weird, but also quite social, scientist" type.
