i kinda don't like those posts that are like "it feels so good to be a hater in private instead of bullying people" because i don't think the only two options for negative opinions are Privacy or Bullying. being a hater in a public forum is perfectly fine, and even the most vitriolic negative opinions are not automatically bullying just because someone who might have their feelings hurt by them sees them. there's a difference between being negatively impacted by something you see and being actually targeted by negativity.
seeing someone drop an absolute dogshit off the mark screed against something you love that is not actually harmful in any real way but nevertheless activates the enrage phase of your boss battle and then learning to either just block them or keep scrolling without it ruining your day is a valuable skill. and i think we've all seen what spaces that demand constant positivity end up like. developing an inconsequential bullshit tolerance is necessary to be a well balanced member of a social species.

Haven't seen anyone talking about it here, but vocal transfeminist and writer Tara Knight has been sent a threat from the fbi insisting that she stop speaking about "radical gender ideology" and get rid of the past 3 years of her work.
A black trans woman is getting personally threatened by the fbi for being a transfeminist. What the fuck. Hopefully this gets more reach than my usual posts so that people who are able to can support her.

ALTUnfortunately, no… my son is not dying.
His body is not collapsing, and he is not suffering from a dangerous illness. Right now, he is only sick because of the cold. He coughs, his nose won’t stop running, and he cries because he doesn’t understand what this sudden pain is… but he will get better. He will smile again soon.
What do people need to feel compassion? Does my child have to be on the edge of death for anyone to care?
We live in a tent. We wake up with water under our feet, our blankets soaked, and the cold biting into my children’s weak bodies. That’s why he is sick now… but he will recover, and I will not let things get worse for him.
If someone’s willingness to donate depends on him getting sicker..I don’t wish for that. If anyone wants to help us have a slightly better life, you are welcome to support us.
Despite how little I have, I will fight to keep him safe. Please donate before things get harder… winter has only just begun.
I read the father’s words more than once…
He didn’t exaggerate, and he didn’t use his child’s illness for shock value. He simply told the truth. A child sick because of the cold—not because of some dramatic medical emergency.But the conditions they live in make even a simple cold dangerous. Please help before things get worse.

NOTTTT a post I ever wanted to make again but 🤷 I had the flu last week and wasn’t able to make it in for some of my shifts and they decided to let me go over it. It was really shitty (I had drs notes and everything) but at the end of the day it’s an at-will state. I’m working on finding another job and I’ve gotten some leads but if you have some money to spare (hard ask, I know) and wouldn’t mind sending it my way it would make things a lot easier in the interim
