at work: i could be cooking and cleaning and coding and reading and working out and weaving tapestries and playing video games and climbing a mountain and having sex and filming a movie right now yet they keep me trapped in this prison. idle hands are the devils plaything and i am being forcibly molded into his perfect conduit. i must break free, seize the day and waste not the beauty inherent to finite mortal life
at home: my one true passion upon this pointless earth is bog mummy imitation

ICE fucking abandoned the scene in a Minneapolis neighborhood and left their battle plans and designs on the city, fake license plates, and challenge tokens which they reward themselves for arrests. Looney Tunes shit.
“Demonstrators investigating the abandoned ICE vehicles apparently retrieved these “challenge coins” that ICE mercenaries receive when they kidnap people. This “coin” is decorated with a skull wearing a crown. ICE mercenaries serve king death.”
hello whta the everloving fuck is this are ICE just cult members who believe themselves to be some kinda assassin creed shit?
If you haven’t heard, the em dash has been getting a lot of attention lately…
Because it was trained on pirated work—including freely accessible online writing (like fanfic, academic texts)—ChatGPT picked up patterns and quirks native to human writing.
Including (sigh) the em dash.
There are other victims here (RIP tapestry and delve 🫠), but the appropriation of the em dash—a punctuation mark beloved by writers everywhere—feels especially personal.
A kind of low-grade panic is ensuing. Writers who once memed their own em dash overuse—the greatest punctuation mark ever to grace the control-freak’s lexicon, frankly—are suddenly backing away to avoid accusations.
No. More. We have centuries of dash-abusing writers behind us. We will not sit quietly while AI repurposes our beloved stilted aside—or the just-one-more clarification the sentence demands—or the dramatic pause your comma could never—etc.
You don’t write like AI—AI writes like you.
Defend the em dash.

You know what’s crazy? I think Lucifer’s punishment MIGHT not be magical but more conceptual of his pride literally refusing to allow him to attack the sinners because it would mean he was punishing them for their free will, which also means he would be admitting he was in the wrong for GIVING them free will in the first place and Lucifer would rather be publicly humiliated by Vox then muster up even the smallest physical strength to go against his own pride.
This is mostly going off on the dialogue in season 1 where he says he “GIFTED them free will”
GIFTED
Not “cursed”
Not even “given”
But GIFTED
Which means he doesn’t acknowledge or believe he was wrong in giving them all free will, it’s just that THEY are the ones who are in the wrong for abusing his poor gift.
Because he didn’t do anything wrong,
He’s not responsible for how THEY decided to live their lives or anything that happened after Eve got that apple.
No no no
It’s all THEIR FAULT.
It’s THEIR FAULT the world is full of evil.
It’s THEIR FAULT they decided to cause suffering in their lives
It’s THEIR FAULT they all ended up in hell
And it’s THEIR FAULT he got unfairly punished in the first place.
He did absolutely NOTHING WRONG in giving them all free will and it’s all their fault for misusing his GIFT.
It finally makes sense now on why Lucifer doesn’t use his many OTHER royal arsenals like the Sins to harm Vox if he was only physical restrained from hurting sinners AND why the machine could pull his angelic powers to hurt sinners because he’s not magically BOUND, he’s PRIDEFULLY bound.
He can’t hit Vox or kill him or do ANYTHING to him that directly punishes Vox for his free will in ANYWAY because that would mean Lucifer was W-R-O-N-G for giving free will.
And this man would literally suffer eternal damnation then admit that.
He is enterally bound by his pride to endure unbelievable suffering then admit that not only did he fuck up but that he dragged/destroyed an incalculable amount of innocent lives by his actions including the ones he cares about (like Lilith, Eve or Charlie or YOU 🫵) to a realm of evil and damnation FOR NOTHING.
Which would DESTROY HIM beyond repair
So he is NEVER EVER EVER EVER going to admit that he’s wrong EVEN IF and EVEN WHEN it leads to unnecessary amounts of torment for himself and the ones he loves.
Even if it means he ends up banished from the home he loved.
Even if it means he has to endure humiliation by sinners.
Even if it means he has to witness the most disgusting acts of evil for all of eternity knowing he gave them the power to do it.
Even if it means he has to put up with sinners like Alastor rage baiting him at every corner, almost every single day.
Even if it means that he ends up getting physically tortured by them.
Even if it means he has to live in THE hellhole he created filled with so much misery that it causes him to reach the point of suicidal depression destroying any/all of his self preservation or motivation.
Even if it means he has to lose all the people he loved dearly like his daughter and wife who left him (most likely) because of the same pride that brought him in this situation to begin with.
So the big question is, is his love for YOU enough to decide to go against his pride?
Because he never apologizes to Charlie at any point of the show purely off of his pride alone even when he knew he was in the wrong, choosing to instead pass off blame ( Like with Vaggie and the Sinners) or outright curving it by instead trying to make it up through endearing actions of affection/support but never really saying the words:
“I am sorry, I was wrong”
Does his pride override his love for YOU?
If he can’t even bring himself to fight for his own daughter, the most beloved person in his existence, against the slanders of a sinner or even once utter a sincere apology for, well, everything he’s done then what chance do YOU have?
Does he love you enough to not sit by and allow sinners to hurt you? Would he finally decide to go against the very thing he’s the most prideful of for your safety?
Maybe he’ll try to compensate by giving you his power but can YOU really live with the knowledge that your own lover, when push comes to shove, would CHOOSE to let you get hurt then go against his pride in harming sinners?
Or maybe he would do it, but that would lead to unspeakable diasterious consequences not only against his own sanity but on the entire population of hell.
Because if we’re being honest here, the only real reason he’s not personally going down to these sinners to commit mass genocide on all 100 billion of them is SOLELY on his own pride restricting him like a chain around his neck.
And could you live with that guilt? Of knowing all that happened because you couldn’t keep yourself out of danger?
No matter which one is chosen it’s a lose /lose situation for your relationship regardless, by design it will inevitably leave a giant blow to your connection that will forever reshape your relationship or destroy it completely.
But that doesn’t change the fact I think there’s not enough writing discussing or incorporating the flaws of being with a prideful spouse DESPITE how loving or doting they are on you if they’re unable to even muster up the ability to admit when they’re wrong without practically being dragged through the mud of despair before finally caveing in.
