I need Stiles legally adopting the pups. Like he’s only a year older than him- 18 while they are 17 and he’s got all the legal documents stating he is their legal guardian. He’s showing up to parent teach night and everything.
Mainly I want him adopting Isaac at least. Isaac is his baby and he treats him as such. He spoils the hell out of Isaac and Isaac is such a momma’s boy.
Stiles even manages to adopt Allison. I’m imagining he just did his normal rambling until Chris was so ready for him to just stop that he signed the paper stiles was waving around without knowing what it was. Now he’s sharing his daughter with a kid that’s her age.
He doesn’t adopt Scott but he threatens to anytime Scott starts to annoy him. ‘I’ll adopt you so you’ll legally be Allison’s brother and it’ll be illegal to be together’ is his favorite threat. Scott always tells him that Melissa would never sign the paperwork until one day Melissa just chimes in ‘oh yes I will.’ Stiles is very smug with his threat every time he uses it after that.
Derek gets into one of those moods where he’s training the betas by being rough with them again and stiles turns into a protective momma on them. Derek tries to argue that he’s not alpha so he doesn’t get a say and stiles tells him he’s more important because he’s their mother now. The betas are standing behind him all smug because Derek can’t really argue with him on that point.

Prompt: Toddler!Erica, Issac and Boyd (magic or something) immediately latch onto Stiles as "Mama!" For some reason (pre relationship maybe?) and Derek just. Can't keep his wolf at bay after that?
After Gerard, Stiles needs a bit of distance from Scott. So while Scott spends the summer studying, Stiles spends his time with Derek's pack. Somehow, he ends up helping Derek become a better Alpha. They rebuild the Hale house and the Hale Pack together. And along the way, they fall in love with each other.

Imagine the pack just get so used to refering to Stiles as pack mom in Beacon Hills and the residents are just used to weird cliques and this odd trauma bonded group that when they're off to college they totally forget how strange it would be to introduce a 20 something guy as mom.
Everyone but Scott's got kinda shit parents if they've got any parents at all so it must be doubly funny to just be like "Come meet my mom." And to be introduced to this disaster twink.
Issac brings his first girlfriend home and introduces her to Stiles and Derek as mom and dad (which is funnier if they're not into each other at all).
Lydia and Kira who have parents even if they're shit also refer to Stiles as mom (though not Derek as dad). Imagine the reactions to that. Kira's parents just standing there like 'what about us?' Lydia making Jackson go through a meet the parents hazing but with Stiles who is taking it way too seriously. And also Jackson being like "I was gone for 2 years how did Stiles go from geek with sad crush to mom?"
Scott calling out to mom and Melissa and Stiles reacting on instinct at the same time and Melissa like 🫢 when Scott's like "no, this is a Stiles mom issue, sorry mom."

Despite being a fic written fifteen days ago and read my yours truly four days ago I have reread it no less than five times and screamed into the author's tumblr more. it is an amazing exploration of tiny max and 2012 seb and just. i have so much feels. i adore adore adore grid dad seb and the dynamic is beautiful. the writing is extremely high quality and i can literally see the scenes through their eyes. seb is trying his best and max is devastatingly being his child self, and just. this is a thousand hurt no comfort and we kind of have to just believe in the comfort in the future (READ THEIR DRABBLES THE COMFORT COMES THERE) but i like to believe the seb is the comfort.

the beautiful what if daneil stayed at red bull fic? and truly it is the destination, not the journey. the way this author describes racing cars is out of this world and i adore, adore, adore the dynamics. the fics goes through the 2018-2021 seasons and to me the 2021 season is sacred but for this fic i would give it an exception because daniel deserves a chance. the way the relationship develops is so adorable and soft, and just. daniel and max have so many feels from me and this fic portrays it so well. i adore their daniel perspective. just an amazingly beautifully written fic.
rustappen / gax (guys we need to decide on a name)
when i tell you this is the rustappen fic you need to believe me. it's a streamer!max au but like, in the most beautiful way. it's sexy and funny and also immensely angsty as well. i think i've screamed about this fic a lot and sacrificed wayyy too much study time to devour it again and again (when it tell you i've read this four times i am Not Joking) this author deserves all the love, like, ALL THE LOVE. it's such an amazing fic and i never want it to end, but also, i want to see what happens. does it make sense?
when i say i can read this i can hear their voices i can hear their voices. the most beautiful age gap fic where current george deals with eighteen year old max in his crashstappen glory. the george pov is like, fucking beautiful, this author is so good at writing george, and the scene are always so sexy but also cute and fluffy i literally cackled at my screen. i read this fic on my birthday in the morning and it's literally like god gifted me a present and then i couldn't resist and immediately reread this at night. literally the fic i check my email for. (also the author has explained their reasons for naming the fic but i don't care it will always remind me of the song earth angel and that is everything to me)
i fucking screamed at my screen when i saw the update the other day because this is like, fycking beautiful. it's maxcedes but engineer!max and OH MY FUCKING GOD this fic has everything. like. everything. the radio exchanges between max and george are so witty and i would devour a whole fic just of them talking about gaps and cars. the text convo between the 2019 rookies is just.. MY HEART. the stan twitter is just On Point. the crofy &sky crew is absolute perfection. the most beautiful writing and amazing george perspective. i think this fic is the dearest to me because i had never even considered engineer!max and now i need three thousand more fics from that exact promt. perfection. Perfection. oh, and, this author is amazing at nailing their voices.
can this even be tagged a ship fic if it's just watching a guy and the other die inside? so, luck, perfection. PER_FUCKING_FECTION. the feels are so good and it's unreliable narrator at it's peak. OT20 because I love seeing the grid react but not really because there was only eighteen. anyways it's a series and the second fic in the series is like, rancid, but like, complimentarily, and i adore adore adore lando and charles' perspectives and the trophy haunting the narrative. the most beautiful writing, super in the feels and amazingly on point.

i think i commented on the first time (yes this has been through MULTIPLE rereads) that this was the best lestappen fic i've ever read. after a lot more fics, like, A LOT, i still stand by this. max crashes and charles is in a timeloop. it's so amazing? like? what? it's so amazing. the exploration of charles' feelings is really well-written, the writing of the racing and the rain and the crash is so good, i can literally smell the petrichor i can feel the G force i can see the car move. it's literal perfection (made sweeter with a dash of brocedes) i want the world to know the moment i finished reading the fic i sat up and told my friend "how do i let this author know how amazing they are because this is unreal"
can the world know that i combed though the le mans tag in the f1 fandom after reason jenson button's book? ok. anyways, this fic is absolute perfection, them being retired but can never go too far from cars, the multimedia with interviews and shit, the AMAZING dynamic with ollie and max and charles. the pit radio? AMAZING. just, breathing. max fucking verstappen telling charles there's more than winning, and that sunrise sequence. i beg whomever to read this fic even if they don't care about cars.
like, the literal best charles to red bull fic? it's multi-media mixed with tidbits of stan twitter, the daily fail, and interviews. i adore the characterisations because charles is having a completely normal reaction of nico rosberg levels of I Need That Shiny Metal Cup and max is being understading is everything i need. their dynmaic is beautiful i found myself laughing and squeaking
i had wrote in my bookmark for this fic a rush of blood to the head, and i was confused until i skimmed the first chapter and said, out loud, "oh, i remember this. (pause) it was really good." i haven't reread it in it's entirety becuase it is That Good and i think the realistic nature of it and how it deals with charles and max (in 2021 & 2022) and the natural reaction of being bested and being in love hurt me so much so beautifully i cannot reread it. but i is very good. a rush of blood to the head.
this author is like, the best, like, the Best, lestappen author if you are looking for a) feels b) realistic descriptions of being a car driver and c) FEELS. the entire series is like, absolute perfection, and it's a lovely oh look max and charles are talking, and wow sexual awakening, then oh my god the child is in a blue car and i think he is crying, but like, beautifully. another amazing charles to red bull fic and an amazing discussion of a championship campaign

the blurb would be max is out of comission (from racing by crash) and takes over ferrari strategy. it's super effecitve! (that's not what it is, max just writes charles notes and reviews of his drives and its more adorable. OT20! grid friendship! and really fun texting. the dialogue is super belivable and i adore living in charles' head. really beautiful writing.
this is another fic that i told myself i could never reread because it's so beautiful it pains me. set in 2024 and another beautiful max vs charles sprint for the title (no it's not a marathon these guys cannot slow down) the delve into charles' psyche is beautiful and begs the question if the person in the car is the person walking on track and the fic portrays it perfectly. chasing a championship is painful and dirty and passionate and charles would eat his liver to win and this fic is it. the most beautiful introspective writing.

Today feels like a nightmare. First, George misses out on Q3 and has to convince the media it has nothing to do with him being a vampire. Then, Max Verstappen barges into his driver room asking highly sexual and mildly inappropriate questions about vampire nutrition. And just when things couldn't get worse, his freshly turned vampire teammate is in a real blood emergency and Max and George’s co-parenting is not exactly going well.
Or: Vampires are real, Max and George both care deeply for Kimi, and maybe, just maybe, for each other too.
What started as a silly idea about vampires and chaotic co-parenting got turned into an amazing oneshot and of course I had to do some art for it! But please make sure to check out Carina and leave her some love for her fantastic writing !!

My Must Read Gax Fics - PART 2
- The Mountain Remembers It All, Fallera by @maroonshirt81 [oneshot] -> AU where Max is a goatherd in the Swiss Alps and George is the city boy hired to destroy his meadow. Shenanigans ensue. Also, the rest of the grill are goats. Like - literal goats. I LOVE THIS FIC OKAY. I am so fond of it, the banter was absolutely hysterical, but somehow also sweet and honest. I wanted this story to never end.
- You remind me of how good it feels to hurt by @jaeminct63 [oneshot] -> George and Max start hooking up after Qatar 24. It's casual until it isn't anymore: feelings get involved, things get complicated, the two of them are left to navigate the tumultuous bond between them. Absolutely in love with this fic. The characterization might be one of my favorite ever, and there are some moments in this story that hit so deep. Beautiful writing, and we get to watch as George and Max slowly learn how to be with each other.
- first principles by debrief [oneshot] -> AU where George needs a new debate partner and Alex, his former one, recommends Max to him. George is very much not amused. Some of the funniest banter I've read in a long time with a surprisingly sweet aftertaste. Some of the lines in this fic had me laugh out loud.
- marrow and machine by @thespiresleeps [oneshot] -> In a surprising twist of fate, George becomes Max's new teammate at Red Bull in 2026 and has to tried not to be eaten alive. Insanely good characterization and insanely good writing to match. George's POV is so compelling, as are the interactions between him and Max and the entity that is Red Bull. It made me want George to drive for RB!
- Household Benefits by @rsstppn [multi-chapter] -> an AU based on The Proposal where George and Max are co-workers who have to get engaged for economic and bureaucratic reasons. As you can probably imagine, real feelings get involved and things become complicated. I almost never rec stories that aren't complete, but I am a sucker for romcoms and this one is so good, I look forward to it updating every day! I love how George and Max's emotions start appearing slowly, the buildup is so believable and reading them fall in love is so satisfying.
- I came, I saw, I conquered (or should I say- I saw, I conquered, I came) by bolts_of_nice [oneshot] -> What was supposed to be a night out with all the grid ends up being a night out with George, Max, Kimi and Fernando. What could possibly go wrong? This fic had me HOWLING from laughter. It's genuinely one of the funniest, most unhinged things I've read. Fernando is the MVP of the story but the Gax of it is also fantastic.
- mini skirt and my go-go boots (i just want you to make a move) by @crescendof1 [oneshot] -> A college AU where George and Max go to a haunted maze together with Charles, Alex and Lando. The fact that George and Max have obviously been into each other for some time may be brought to light by the jumpscares in the maze. One of the very first Gax fics I've read - and such a fun, sweet one. I loved the setting, loved the banter with the rest of the group, and had a great time watching George and Max orbit each other and try to decide who will make a move first.
- menthol smoke by diamondheist [multi-chapter] -> After winning in 2025, Max retires from F1 - only to show up in 2026 as George's race engineer. It's the start of a messy, passionate relationship that neither of them seems to have control of. Another fic that's still ongoing but that has me so completely hooked that I can't help recommending it already. So far it's well-written, with on point, intriguing characterization and emotional depth. Can't wait to read more!
- ask me what i'm thinking about by anxious_crows [oneshot] -> a canon compliant Soulmate AU where Max and George are reluctant soulmates who only try to address their bond when strictly necessary, lest they develop something terrible, like feelings. I loved this take on the soulmate bond, and I found their characterization so on point - messy, emotional in wildly different ways, scared of acknowledging the feelings lurking in the shadows. A great read.
The Gax fandom truly is blessed with some insanely talented writers, and I couldn't fit them all in here! I'm sure a Part 3 will be coming at some point as there are more stories in my bookmarks that I didn't have time to add :) for now, I hope you enjoy these!
