Do you ever think if put in the (demon) wild, Dante would know what to eat in an animal, for example *liver* because he read it in books? Like the general knowledge is that animals target the livers, heart and kidneys for their nutrients values. So if put in (demon) wild, he would try to find these 3 parts after a hunt instead of eating the meat because it could taste terrible sometimes. Also if (demon) creature has similar traits to those in human's world sorta.

Also because it's interesting to imagine Dante take a liver off a (demon) creature and toss it to Vergil while they have their trip in the Underworld.

Also, the twins, Nero, and Trish definitely have tapetum lucidum. Just a little thing to make them more uncanny and weird.

For my DMC Na'vi AU I feel like it would make more sense for Sparda to be an avatar rather than a true born Na'vi

Navi AU so far:

  • Sparda was originally an RDA soldier but he had his Jake Sully moment
  • Eva was Omatikaya (she was originally supposed to be Aranahe but I have more things to work with if she’s Omatikaya)
  • The twins were raised far from the village, but eventually the RDA got to them, causing Eva’s death and the separation of the twins (idk what happened to Sparda given that we still don’t know in canon)
  • Dante tried his best to incorporate himself into the Omatikaya by taking up hunting jobs and others of the sort.
  • Vergil, with a shattered faith, was lost and wandering until he found his way to the Mangkwan. After many years, he murdered the Olo’eyktan, taking his place (LiR came before the murder)
  • Nero is still half Metkayina though

Tbh I don’t really ship Dante with anyone even within DMC (expect for a ship I was newly introduced to by the artist @washichan of him with Vincent from the 2007 anime, since the portrayal of their relationship is stunning)

buuuuut, I do enjoy some of them for just shits and giggles, like: Dante/Leon, Dante/Bayonetta, and Dante/Credo

Dante won the poll! I’m not done with him yet, but here’s a sketch of how it’s going so far and some general rapid fire ideas for him in this AU

  • Omatikaya outsider (isolates himself due to shame of being half Mangkwan)
  • Doesn’t interact much with the clan unless his presence/help is requested
  • When he IS seen, the kids love pestering him and asking him all sorts of questions (they call him “Lal Teyr Uk”= Old White Shadow)
  • Pretends he doesn’t care for them, yet sometimes shows up to supervise the kids during the climb up Iknimaya and other rites of passage
  • Even though he is distant, he protects the clan from afar (something like a vigilante)
  • Weak faith in Eywa, but still attached to the idea of her
  • Carries Eva’s songchord, but hasn’t made one for himself (it’s ok, Patty made him one as a parting gift)
  • Met Nero while he was working as a bodyguard for the leaders’ meeting in the Metkayina reef
