Can I get a run down on whats happening?
No, you will consume it wholly, Act I Masterpost be upon you:

Miraculous Ladybug Femslash February 2026 is here!
All main girls get at least one or two pairs, but some are more popular in this chart than others. As always, f/f starring older female characters are double-booked to allow more pairings!
Rules:
• Any fanart, fic, playlist, or edit is welcomed in this event. Just tag your work #mlbfemslashfebruary or @ this blog so your work can be reblogged here!
• You don’t have to follow all the key words or ships for each day. They’re just prompts to help the creative process.
• If you have another femslash pairing you want to write over a certain day’s theme, go ahead! This includes creating content for poly femslash ships.
• Please no male characters or m/m ships that are genderbended. Male characters and slash ships get much more attention in fandom spaces than female characters and femslash ships. This event is supposed to help elevate femslash content, which is much rarer in fandom (and especially lacking in Miraculous Ladybug outside of a small handful of ships.)
• This event is meant to be for romantic pairings, but you can also write platonic or queerplatonic interpretations.
• No incest and/or pairings featuring underaged characters with adults, including child characters aged up. This is a new rule added this year for the sake of clarification and boundaries.
• No NSFW content will be reblogged for this event but can still be created and posted on your own time.
…
Below is also a written out list of the prompts, for accessibility purposes and in case the image is too hard to see.
Next Stop on the Pharloom Void Cleanup Road Trip
Hornet is slowly subsumed by fluff; Lace uses flea brew as a handwarmer (she has no intention of drinking it); and Ghost heard mention of a pogo competition and the "Challenge" prompt immediately appeared overhead.
Anyways, I feel like Hornet's kidnappers didn't do their due diligence before yoinking her, because they literally brought a half-wyrm--godlike creatures known for their territoriality--into their lands, and then did a shocked pikachu face when she started wrecking shit.
Like, they saw she was half weaver and assumed that that as the most important thing she could possibly be.
Meanwhile, Lace's frame of reference is Pharloom and weavers, so this is like discovering your weird classmate's dad is actually a dragon.

@theashemariewrote something in her drafts that drove me insane so I had to make my own version. ALSO, here's my announcement that the lines for Part 2 of GFMAF comic are finally finished! Now it's up to Katie, Ashe, and Rory to finish the rest 🫡 Also also, time to start reposting all the art and fanfic that I missed while on my social media hiatus finishing up the lines.
Hornet’s equivalent to Zote. Her name is Hover and she is a fly from the slab that managed to become free and now stalks Hornet 🙂
And there is also this sketch of her before she saw the object of jealousy of her life
Update: forgot to include first sketch of her
Update 2: if anyone interested the song from the video is Gibberish Jungle
The paternal love
You hid from me
The unconditional love
I hid from you
In mumbles under your breath
In following your calls
In shadows behind the walls
In orders no person could bear
So how could I not love you?
If you made me who I am
So how could I not hate you?
If you made me who I am
And infection spread
And death came
And kingdoms fell
For nothing can be as eternal
As the love I feel for you
I feel a lot of the time we don’t consider the fae perspective. We mostly consider the human’s. Which, yes, of course because we are human.
But in a story like twst, where so many characters are relatable human or not, I think it’s a bit unfair to not consider their perspective.
The main one I’m thinking of right now is how we tend to criticize Malleus and his not being able to keep track of time.
We’ve been told that he has trouble keeping track of time, and in general, many of the fae do. To them, time moves different (not to mention how it can differ depending on species), but for Malleus it’s much more than that.
I wouldn’t be surprised that besides some of the fae, other beastman or merman might have more of a nocturnal clock too.
We expect him to adapt to humans but when has any of them helped him to adapt? When we ask things of others, don’t we usually try and meet half way?? Isn’t it selfish to always one-sidedly ask him to change?? And not help him achieve the change we are asking for?
It’s one thing for the rest of dia group to help him, and they try. But it’s another, when the humans don’t even try when Malleus is trying to get along with them and make a connection with them for peace between everyone. Even more so, he wants to get along and have friends too.
And then?? They get angry? At him?? For not adhering to their ways, but did they help him? Did you remind him? Or even send the invite at all? Or were you too scared and it’s easier to blame?
He’s known to arrive in advance hours before a meeting so he doesn’t miss it because he does care and he does want to attend. But where are the people to meet him half way? To remind him or even give him the proper or updated info?
It’s a two way street. We can’t always judge malleus because of his “bad” traits, when in reality, it’s a fae thing can we?
You can argue that it’s not others jobs to do that. And yeah you’re right, but then we have seen dorm leaders go out of their way to help others haven’t we? Riddle going after Idia is one example.
And if there is to be peace, then both humans and fae have to work together to understand the other.
I think it’s unfair to always expect Malleus to change without understanding his background and his childhood and how that changes his perception of time.
THIS IS SO REAL
The other housewardens/students are also not really trying to understand Malleus because to them there's nothing to understand. They don't know how different the fae are to humans, and most don't even fully know their history at the hands of humans, so to everyone Malleus is just trying to be above it all and difficult for no reason. But Malleus has already done a lot to try and adapt to humans and the day and only has a few complaints about what he cant wrap his head around
A lot of people take his apology to Lilia at the end of his dorm vignette "I wasn't trying hard enough to get along" as confirmation that twst is saying Malleus ACTUALLY is not truly trying and most/everything is his fault.
But if you noticed Malleus has a habit of saying "I'LL do better" instead has a of blaming others when put in an unfair situation. As with all twst characters with biased perceptions/who don't say what they mean. You can't just take what they say as face value to what the story is actually saying
↑ People also tend to do this with Ace after his bluntness and non-coddling saved heartslabyul and stopped riddle in Book 1... ppl took it working in /that/ specific instance to mean that this is the ONLY way to stop every overblotter and the OBers just gotta man up against years of conditioning Imao. The story also shows that Ace's bluntness is not fully noble and sometimes even makes the situation worse or makes a fool out of Ace (the Heartslabyul novel really fleshes out the nuance of this trait/how overblots are confronted)
On the topic of coddling... This also reminds me of this one user who would say Lilia is coddling Malleus and that's why he turned out so difficult? It's kinda funny because this is the POV the housewardens in-universe would have of their dynamic, but it's not actually the truth.
When Lilia gives Malleus acknowledgment and approval, it looks like coddling exactly because the overblotters don't know how naturally different Malleus as a fae (who has to not feel because of his power) is, and thus how much he's already adjusted from his natural way of doing things to live with them. He laughs off and doesn't really mind a lot of Malleus' antics because to he KNOWS this isolated fae doesn't really mean anything by it, so he's responding with the necessary consideration to MAKE Malleus learn and understand. He gives him the time, unlike the palace staff who just keep conceding and backing off from him because they see him as the power/authority before the child, and unlike the other housewardens who as mentioned just see him as a nuisance/threat who's like that just because he's arrogant or something
We also know that Lilia DOES reprimand Malleus and demand he change when he does something wrong, whether he's not listening to his tutors at the castle or the literal events of the dorm vignette, so doesn't just give endless excuses for Malleus just because he knows it's hard for him.
Twst is all about learning to coexist with other people's circumstances, ways of thinking and contradicting desires, without thinkin difference must mean they are the bad guy and you are the good guy. And sometimes that's hard because misunderstandings easily happen and we rarely have the full story about something or someone. It's just this theme in different fonts with each overblot so it's kinda ironic in a meta way that fans of other OBers/characters don't realize this for Malleus, the character who is the "final boss"/pinnacle of this central theme. But yeah he is my fave for these reasons, his position is nuanced and complex and says a lot about the overall story and fun to see all the layers of.
I also love that Lace calls herself a knight. It is amazing and cute and I love it
Delicious someone please write a fanfic
Can I suggest maybe that,,, gods wouldn't have heirs? At least not how we think of them?
Or like, at least not the ones running around proclaiming themselves eternal and immortal. So when they have kids, if we're assuming that those kids are made to serve a purpose, it wouldn't be "this one's taking over the kingdom". This could lead to the children of gods ending up being raised/trained for different roles. Some of them might meant to serve as nobles (kinda like we saw with the weavers), some might basically be meant as accessories (Lace seems to fit that role), and maybe some children would be made to fill particular purposes that the god needs but can't entrust to a non-child (Phantom in the exhaust organ, The Pure Vessel).
So if we're in a kingdom-au sorta thing, let's say uhhh, Dream-No-More but it happened earlier in the timeline so Pale King still alive + Hallownest still around + Ghost and all the siblings are Around but not shelled. But specifically, Herrah is dead, and most weavers are either dead, or left for Pharloom (and either never made it, or were killed after arriving). Meanwhile over in Pharloom, GMS woke up early because uhhh, Lace realized she could just turn off the cogwork core at any time and it wasn't even that hard. And that was really the only thing keeping GMS asleep past the weavers tbh. This happens early enough that GMS doesn't really do the whole haunting thing, she just wants to rule normally and only sometimes mind control people.
So Pharloom and Hallownest are both kingdoms in "recovery". They face threats from outside forces (mantises, ants, other gods that want to scavenge), need their populations to stabilize, and probably need some good propaganda going on to do some image recovery. Or rather the Pale King needs to do image recovery, GMS really needs to get her religious system back under control and prove she's in charge. The kingdoms do know of each other, and trade starts forming between them out of necessity.
Within the kingdoms, Lace, originally created by GMS as an accessory out of loneliness and a desire for an obedient child, has ended up the golden child well past what we see in canon. While GMS didn't really want her daughter fighting or being a knight (she effectively wanted a doll), she won't deny her anything either. If Lace wants to fight with a pin and be called a knight, that's exactly what she'll get. Phantom either never ends up in the Organ, or is allowed to leave. GMS isn't fond of them per say, but again, doesn't want to deny Lace anything. She's willing to call Phantom her child as well, restore their silk, and allow them effectively a place of nobility because it makes Lace happy. Still, there's a lingering tension that GMS and Phantom don't particularly care for one another, and GMS wouldn't mind if she could get rid of Phantom in a way that Lace wouldn't be upset over. Pharloom in general is slowly rebuilding, but it's quite difficult, and GMS is nearly constantly facing struggles from bugs that had religious systems built up around weavers. Not to meant what's left of the prior societies, and neighboring tribes.
Over in Hallownest, the Pale King is in an interesting spot with Hornet. See, Hornet's pretty pissed off with him for a lot of incredibly valid reasons. Most re: 'hey so turns out my mom didn't need to die after all', and 'your plan was dumb and didn't work at all, i put together a plan with one of my siblings you tried to dispose of and it worked perfectly'. She isn't outright leading a rebellion against him. Right now. But like, it's entirely possible she might. Hornet is pretty feral for a lot of reasons, will only really place nice out of lingering respect/fondness for the White Lady, and regularly vanishes into deepnest for long stretches and just has nothing to do with him. Worse, the Pale King also absolutely cannot kill her or attempt to exile her or anything. She's the one who stopped the infection in the end (it was her siblings mostly, but he's got people convinced those are empty shells), and his wife loves her, so she's basically off-limits.
Pushing it even further, Ghost and the siblings aren't actually gone. None of them have their shells, and they do spend most of their time in the Abyss, but they've got passageways out into deepnest and regularly hang out with their sister. They quite clearly care about her and she cares about them, and the Pale King doesn't like his odds if he pisses them off. So he just has to tolerate Hornet's disrespect of him and try to weather it. It's not going super great.
Relationships with Pharloom build as tensions grow within the Kingdoms, and it becomes clear to both Monarchs that they need An Event. Something grand, and big, and a statement to other kingdoms around that they aren't weak. Further, GMS still has her grudge against weavers, and would really like to somehow manipulate the situation to get Hornet under her thumb. Or dead. That'd be fine too. The Pale King would also like someone else to get Hornet under control, ideally not him, because he will be Murdered. But if someone else does it, the anger could get directed towards them, and maybe he won't look so bad in comparison.
I'm not sure which of them would propose a marriage, or if it would even be proposed in that exact way, but let's say one of them does, and plans start getting made. The basic concept is one of Pharloom's children, and one of Hallownest's children will be wed and jointly gain control of a piece of land in the wastes that's currently mostly empty (in no small part because both kingdoms know if they tried to lay claim to it alone, it would result in war), but has the ability to produce a bunch of essential resources that both kingdom's need. The children in question would be rulers over this land, and ensure that the resources get split evenly, as well as manage trade with other kingdoms.
Hallownest only has one living child, so Hornet's hand is on offer automatically. However, the terms are clear that Hornet gets to pick between GMS's children and has the ability to call off the whole thing. However, if either side calls off the marriage, the other side gets the land in it's entirety.
Now, this is presented by both Monarches as if the other has forced their hand on the matter. It's the only way to ensure fairness. And if they didn't do this, a war was going to break out. It would have been devastating for both kingdoms.
While GMS doesn't explicitly say it's going to be Phantom going, it's pretty clear she intends Phantom to behave themselves, be the perfect spouse, get picked and be sent off somewhere. Lace is upset by the idea of being married off at all (seeing it as a form of being gotten rid of), and thinks Hornet will be dull and Posh and like every other noble she's met. What knowledge they have of Hornet is very very limited. They know she's half weaver, and have grown up knowing so much about how awful weavers how. How selfish, controlling, backstabbing, two-faced, etc. Phantom is really uncertain as to what sort of future they'd be walking into, but understands this is probably their only option for escaping GMS.
Hornet, over in Hallownest, is pretty furious. While the Pale King assures her that he understands if she wants the entire arrangement calls off, and plays as if he values her freedom and say in the matter, both of them know Hornet won't do that. Hallownest legitimately needs the resources of that land or a lot of bugs will suffer for it. Hornet refuses to let that many bugs who she feels a responsibility for suffer, but she also really doesn't want to be shuffled off to some random place to rot nor be wed to someone she doesn't love.
So, she quite carefully reads over the terms of the treaty, and realizes her out. If Hornet can force Pharloom (specifically GMS) to call off the wedding, without any obvious acts of hostility on her part, Hallownest gets the land in it's entirety, and she doesn't have to get married.
Now, there's already a plan in place, after some time for preparations, Hornet goes to Pharloom for a certain amount of time so she can meet both of GMS's kids, be introduced to Pharloom's culture and stuff, etc. After a certain amount of time, Hornet has to pick between the two, and whoever she picks goes back to Hallownest with her for a time to be approved of by Hornet's family. Then marriage, and they move to the new land.
During the prep time, GMS spends a lot of time preparing Phantom as the obvious pick. As well as ensuring she'll be able to retain control of Phantom even after they leave with Hornet to stop them from sabotaging anything. Phantom is legitimately trying to play their part. They aren't expecting their future spouse to be much better than GMS, but like, maybe if they're well behaved enough, this can work. Lace for her part is sullen and rebellious and super uninterested in any of this.
Then Hornet shows up, absolutely determined to be as off-putting, weird, and socially unacceptable as she possible can without technically violating any of the rules set out for her. She's challenging people to "honorable" duels and nearly taking people's arms off. She's as rude as she can be without actually doing anything that anyone can call out. She's just on the roof now. There's no rules that say she can't be on the roof. And if there are, she can't hear them, she's on the roof. At least once she just goes missing for awhile and eventually shows up again with the Bell Beast she tamed that she's now using to traverse the kingdom. Also some weird shadow creatures are now showing up at night and nobody knows why but they're 100% sure it's related to Hornet. But they cannot prove it.
During all of this, Lace like, completely 180s from hating Hornet's guts to being extremely taken with whatever the hell this spider has going on. The two of them both almost kill each other in a duel, something GMS herself has to interrupt, and both of them are Locked In on the other from that point on. Phantom is like, really trying, but Hornet has just literally no interest. Particularly not when a pretty girl who can, will, and is trying to kick her ass is right there.
GMS starts to realize she might lose the kid she actually cares about (completely unacceptable, clearly the weaver child has put some kind of spell on her daughter there's no other explanation for this). Lace really wants to still be stubbornly opposed to any kind of marriage on principal, but tbh is really coming around. Hornet is having a crisis because she fully intended to fuck this up as bad as she possible could, but everything she does makes Lace more interested, and also FUCK Hornet is having a hard time saying no to an immortal rival whose also hot, and so willing to throw down with her.
LMAO ok this is great
