no paul casting feels right because they’re always casting men and not beautiful women with large doe eyes

the worst extremely low-stakes consequence of societal fatphobia is when a low-calorie/“”“"healthy”“”“ recipe is actually good and suddenly everyone thinks you’re sharing it as a diet aid and not because it fucks hard

anyway put some frozen raspberries in a bowl and pour just a leetle bit of cold oat milk over it and the oat milk will semi-freeze into a kind of ice cream texture. and now you have fake raspberry ripple ice cream that’s 90% raspberries by volume

Sister. Sansa had once dreamt of having a sister like Margaery; beautiful and gentle with all the world’s graces at her command. Arya had been entirely unsatisfactory as sisters went.

ASOS, SANSA II

Sansa thinks that Arya is unsatisfactory as a sister two books after the last time she saw her or heard anything about her younger sister. Yet, her stans are making meta on how this scene actually proves how deeply Sansa cares for Arya.

Make it make sense.

I want people to start treating Sansa being a “little bird” in King’s Landing less like a character flaw and more like Arya’s becoming a “mouse” in Harrenal.

The Stark Sister reunion is the one I’m most excited for.

Why, so stans can simply use Arya as a cheerleader or undermine Arya’s abilities to praise Sansa like you just did?

The only difference is that Arya has friends to help her out of it. This is in NO way a criticism. She was a 9 year old girl, who was skinny for her age. There was nothing she could have done all by herself.

You think Arya just magically got friends to help her? Like, she just sat there thinking about how her life is so hard and then Gendry, Hot Pie and Jaqen H'ghar randomly popped up and offered to help her?

She saved Jaqen’s life and he in turn offers her the three deaths as a debt to be paid. It’s Arya’s need to help others (often criticized as ‘impulsive’ and labelled a flaw by Sansa stans) that gained her an ally in Jaqen.

It’s the same with Gendry and Hotpie. It was Arya being a natural born leader that sees her forming her little packs wherever she goes. That’s an inherent skillset that Arya has nurtured from childhood and which Sansa looks down on:

WADDAP FELLAS here to remind you that:

1) it was Arya Stark who sat at her father’s table to listen to him talk and discuss matters with his people, it was her whom the smallfolk affectionally knew as Arya Underfoot

2) it was Arya Stark who was canonically better at her sums and running a household

3) it was Arya Stark who went with Ned Stark to White Harbor

4) it was Arya Stark who fred the Northern prisoners from Harrenhal, who lead this tiny group of orphans into fighting and surviving

5) it was Arya Stark who suffered with the riverlands smallfolk the true hardships of war the North was fighting

6) it was Arya Stark who was betrothed to a Frey and who witnessed their crimes at the Red Wedding first hand

7) it is Arya Stark who is our link to the BWB, who are activately avenging the Red Wedding and keeping the reanimated Catelyn Stark as their leader

8) it is Arya Stark who has a direwolf army waiting for her to use (cause she’s a goddamn warg)

9) it is Arya Stark whom Ramsay falsely married to lay claim to Winterfell and the North

10) it is Arya Stark who the North is secretly plotting to get back, to rescue valiant Ned precious little girl

11) it is Arya Stark for whom Jon Snow is willing to bend the rules to rescue, letting a known Night’s Watch deserter and wildling chief go to Winterfell as well as giving sound political advice to Stannis

12) it is Arya Stark that Stannis is planning on rescueing and finding a good match for

13) it is Arya Stark who is a polyglot, who is learning to spy and detect lies

Arya Stark has always had political weight in ASOIAF, always. She was never an isolationist who avoided celebrations or lurked in shadows and never shared a word with her people or the bannermen. She was and is a leader of a pack, with a strong and powerful name; strong and powerful connections; strong and powerful abilities. Never forget that, the show did not adapt it because they were unable to adapt her sister correctly so they had to give her this weird mashed up plot, but it was always ARYA STARK , who belonged in the North leading the wolves.

TWOW will prove me right, next year or in 7 more, I don’t c a r e.

something something ‘feminine’ female characters being deserving of all things good and righteous and holy because of them overcoming their suffering by working within the system that hurts them using their wiley feminine attributes and charm something something ‘masculine’ female characters being villainized for fighting outside the constraints of the system they’re still subjected to in a more hands on approach and being victims of similar if not the same circumstances as their ‘feminine’ female peers but it doesn’t count for some reason because they don’t suffer as prettily as their counterparts something something

“I would like to see a dragon”, Mercy said wistfully. - Mercy, The Winds of Winter

The Hostage by Edmund Leighton reminds me so much of Arya in Braavos. Looking at the sea and dreaming about dragons, revenge, Winterfell and adventures west of Westeros.

when arya fans are like “sansa and catelyn bullied her out of it but she would actually love being married and the lady to some lord and needlework and pretty dresses etc.” what do you like about arya. in the text.

Arya is ten times more complex and interesting as someone unable to conform into an extremely patriarchal society, the emotional damage it does to a little girl and how she grows into her own.

No Arya fan has ever wanted Arya to conform and become a mini Sansa lmao! WTF?!

Could you point to which so called ‘Arya fan’ triggered you to make this post? Unless you are just pulling this out of your ass for fellow Sansa fans to then reblog and pat yourselves on the back?

Also are you saying because the nine year old said 'Ewww’ to marriage and children, that the older version will never, ever want love and marriage?

Unless you are twisting fans speculating that Arya will be a leader in the North and have a political/administrative role into 'Arya will wear dresses and do needlework’?

Considering this post

What kind of anti feminist, trad fem nonsense is this?

Reducing Arya to 'Warrior maid’ and 'assassin’ when the author himself disagrees with your characterization? Completely ignoring her political arc and attributes because it does not fit into your idea of what a female politician should be?

Speculating that all she ends up as is a 'Bounty hunter’ or a 'roaming hedge knight’? Damn.

You do realize that to be QITN/Wardeness of the North does not require one to wear pretty dresses and do needle work right?

That garbage TV show has given people brain worms.
