girl the boobs…this diva
i saw someone on instagram talk about this but i needed to elaborate and find screenshots of my own: ilya's hair as a storytelling medium. his curls and length are used to show how he changes and ages through the years, but on another level his hair shows how he's feeling in a certain scene and it's all so :)
like when he's doing official press stuff, he has his curls flattened, as if he patted his hair down with his hands. bc that's more proper in his mind or sth.
with his father he also feels the need to tame his hair, and still he gets a comment on it
vs when he's chilling at home, for example, his floof is floofing
so the journey his hair goes on when he and shane get closer is so-----
casual hookup in montreal? floof af
first date (?? in ilya's mind??) and he's trying to slick it back a lil. the taming of his hair vs showing people he cares about the situation..... that he is serious?
do you think shane was even more devestated by his own actions bc he could see how he'd ruffled ilya's hair. ilya's hair that has all those little curls hanging out now as if they're the physical manifestation of his vulnerability
flash forward to florida and he's emptied a whole tube of gel in his hair bc he needs to be cool and suave and if shane acts like he doesn't gaf then he will too dammit
a soft fluffy head while shane wrenches his heart open with a crowbar
showing up for his man in the hospital. he cares maybe too much and he's non-threatening nurses please but most of all he spent an entire night being scared to death. scared his hair straight lol
and then we go to the cottage
where during this conversation his hair is possibly the curliest we've ever seen. and im so normal about those tiny little curls that crown his face like-------
