Eldritch in a trenchcoat

@neon-witch-ritual

don't know what i'm doing, she/her, a bi disaster, in her 20s, dear satan kill me already, oh and you will need to take the first step into a convo, I'm too INTP for life

If steve harrington wasnt an outcast then why did his parents and all his friends except his self sacrificial tendencies ditch his ass for 5 whole seasons.

Do yall really think that this man is normal??? In the 80s??? After everything we know and dont know about him? Be fr if he was NOT an outcast, he would have better luck with ladies than all the men that become obsessed with him in every season

as promised

furry stonathan (sketch below cut)

Jonathan is a hare and steve is a lion

The bg is so ass but idk what else to make it

thinking about how jonathan grew up with yelling, objects clattering and fists on skin while steve grew up around quiet ignorance and empty houses,,, fuuuuuck

Religion isn’t just stories. You might wonder why there aren’t many stories about like Hestia for example. Does that mean she’s not important?

Well no. In a purely storytelling context she doesn’t have a lot of content but in the everyday life of an ancient person following the traditions of the Greek gods is reminded of her at every meal and every log placed on the fire. She lives in the center of every home.

I love reading old stories but old stories don’t tell us what people feel or think when they breathe in quietly and deeply to themselves on a bright summer morning.

What conversations did ancient Romans have with their household gods when they couldn’t sleep? What did a young singer whisper to the muses before her first performance? What did she burn to appease them? What did a mother swipe out of her son’s hand during a local religious festival? We don’t really know those things from just reading stories.

see. . .

My eyes have recently been open to Stonathan but Jonathan was assassinated via Jancy. I'm doing a rewrite fix it where I want to be somewhat faithful to the characters

I have to admit that the scene in the finale where hopper gets vecna‘d is actually SO GOOD, like I knew that el wasn’t dead (plot armour bla bla) but still, THIS is what I wanted the entire final battle to look like

a battle of the minds, showing the main characters their darkest fears come true, slowly driving them insane

THIS is how you do a final battle with horror instead of action, to show that you can’t win with guns, but with love

it could’ve been so good

somebody said the finale should’ve involved the core 4 getting vecna’d simultaneously and having to find their way back to each other inside vecna’s mind whilst battling/confronting their worst fears… good god what we could’ve had…

In wrestling they don't say "I love you" they do your signature move in a high stakes match against somebody else showing how your presence in their life has changed them, how your movements have found their way into their own muscle memory, and how in their moments of desperation in search of personal valour they look to you, perhaps without even realising it, and I think that's beautiful

When youre a kid youre like wtf adults are making themselves sick with poisons and when youre an adult youre like i need more poisons ASAP

As the treasurer for the Jewish club on campus, I once accidentally put in a request for 10,000 dollars for our Hanukkah party.

What was even more insane about this is that said request was automatically approved through the school's system, hypothetically granting me the power to get a used car in the name of the Maccabees. So, for a good thirty minutes before my frantic email to every financial institution in my school was answered, I was plagued with two questions.

  1. What the hell was the club going to do if all the funding we would be allotted for the next two years had to be spent in one evening?
  2. If tasked with this enormous amount of money, what kind of rager would I now have to undertake in order to properly disperse the money?

Before Carl from accounting kindly answered my email at 9 PM on a Wednesday , I'd been researching the going rates for rent-a-penguins. Surprisingly much more affordable than you'd think.

Move about the Hannukah Party of All Time
