it’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since david lynch’s passing. i will always remember that day, and how i watched the snow flurry outside my window under the unyielding gray sky, full of quiet sadness and disbelief. i will never get to thank him for his work, and what it means to me, but i’m sure that he knows now how special he was, somehow. how much his art and original way of thinking impacted people. there will never be another, that’s for sure.
i’m very lucky that i got to personally drop off this artwork in the real RR diner alongside one of my best friends in the whole world last year. i never thought i’d be able to make it over there. you could really feel the love, and i remember standing in silence soaking each sight in — it was magical. as i said last year, thank you david, for everything.
i drew this art when i was sick and didn’t think anything of it, in fact i was not really satisfied with it. i’m really grateful now for all the people that have enjoyed this work, not only at my local theaters, but around the world. i hope you all do something today that reminds you of him. i’ve got my typical black coffee in hand as i write this ☕️❤️
tbh i do think that the concept of other people being viewed as “NPCs” and the growing inability to recognize other human beings as living things with thoughts and motivations is linked to the capitalistic need to scrub everything of what makes it challenging and alive, to turn everything into a consumable, to baby proof the entirety of the world and make it into the largest, coldest nest of individualist comforts where you never need to feel bad but you’ll never feel warmth either
warmth and intimacy only exist within proximity to discomfort and human ugliness and i do not think it is a coincidence we are being considered the loneliest generation while also having the most streamlined access to emotional intimacy bandaids

Where did u get the stickers for ur Bruce campbell photo cards?
great question! i love talking about stickers, and i have a huge collection. i will let you know the sites that i got most of them from, because some of them have also been lying around for awhile.
my favorite brick & mortar store is omoi, where i get a lot of stickers and washi tape. luckily, they have an online shop! i’ve gotten some of my favs from there, like the boxes of flake stickers and the clover stickers. most of the stickers i use though are from daiso, which i don’t have around me, and whenever i’m around them on vacation i stock up on what they have. super cheap and great stuff. another store i adore is minisuper, which includes artists i’ve been buying from for over 10 years. a lot of the stickers i used on the bruce cards were from their small sheets like this. some of the more specific new ones like the western ones i got here. all the flower ones i used i went halfsies on with my friend, i got them on amazon looking for deco stickers. can’t find them again but a lot of them seem to use the same manufacturer?
short answer is, i got them from a ton of places over a long period of time, but i hope this helps! i’m glad you like them ^_^
