To truly, successfully eroticize the monstrous you must be brave enough to make the object in question actually ugly. At the heart of the fantasy is a person whose very form is so profoundly unacceptable that there is significant social stigma attendant upon finding them attractive - a person who feels deeply their own repulsiveness, who expects universal rejection for their appearance - and, crucially, another person who treats them as if they are beautiful.
For this to be effective, the monstrous character can’t just be plain - they have to be wildly, fascinatingly unacceptable - prodigiously, fantastically, sublimely ugly. If you’re anxious about the character not being hot you’ll never pull it off because the entire fantasy is about not being afraid.
catfished by a guy who said he was something unutterably monstrous in his bio then turned out to be yet another normal muscle twink with some mildly unsettling features again?
I thought he was the one. 😔
the monsterfucking paradox is such that having an attraction to someone of monstrous appearance functionally removes the monsterfucking aspect of it because you’re fucking someone who is attractive to you and therefore a person who is attracted to Davy Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean is having the same general experience (sex with someone attractive) as someone who is attracted to Jack Sparrow from the same film;
meanwhile, not having an attraction to a given person of monstrous appearance gives monsterfucking cred without the actual monsterfucking aspect of it, that is, attraction to monsters; if you are fucking an entity whose appearance YOU find unsettling, offputting, or frightening, you have the purity of the experience of monstrousness and the resulting discomfort, but lack the attraction by which monsterfucking is defined;
possibly there is some kind of middle ground where the monster is some mix of both offputting AND attractive, but otherwise the “true” monsterfucker would be someone who possesses no inherent attraction for the monster but has a kink for the intimacy WITH the monster because of its offputtingness or fearsomeness, which makes them, again, not monsterfuckers;
to wit, if one is a monsterfucker one cannot BE a monsterfucker, because being a monsterfucker transfigures monsters into kpop idols and supermodels in a situation similar to how overcontrived porn might cease to be sexy to a connoisseur of certain kinks that are made sexy by their authenticity; the experience of being hauled into an office, lectured, and caned by a formal, severe, and entirely sincere apparent Victorian-era schoolteacher while concealing one’s sexual response from them (and they, potentially, conceal theirs) is a vastly different beast from being porntalked to by somebody in a tie and miniskirt who tells you sexily to bend over their desk because you’ve been naughty. ditto monsterfucking. too much overt sexiness is a different effect, even if the sexiness only exists in the mind of one-half the pairing;
tl;dr there are two types of monsterfucker, and both of them aren’t.
or to put it another way, monsterfucking and monsterfucking are two distinct and generally mutually exclusive sets of kinks, for which we have one word, resulting in an overabundance of gatekeeping
to truly [HAVE A KINK] all you must do is [HAVE A KINK]
there you go, i fixed it, g'nite
(op, look into the phrase “kink tomato” if you haven’t)
So most of us figured out awhile back that sex can take place between more than just a man and a woman. A few beyond that made the discovery that it doesn’t have to stop at something that happens between only two people. Dreams were directly responsible for these growths and they will fuel growths beyond this. Because sexually speaking, we’re still working with sticks and rocks, not dreaming big enough.
I had a very disturbing dream last night. In this dream I found myself making love to a strange man. Only I’m having trouble, you see, because he’s old and dying and he smells bad and I find him repulsive. But then, he tells me that everything is erotic, that everything is sexual. You know what I mean? He tells me that even old flesh is erotic flesh.That disease is the love of two kinds of alien creatures for each other. Even dying is an act of eroticism. That talking is sexual. That breathing is sexual. That even to physically exist is sexual. And I believe him. And we make love beautifully.On Waging Dream Warfare, Anonymous

there is a level of seduction that exists beyond the body. something less tangible, and perhaps more potent. anais nin understood this idea about how desire does not begin with touch but with language, perception, and the sharp electric pull of a mind that challenges and excites you. in her journals, desire is not just a physical hunger but a hunger of the intellect, an unraveling of thought before an unraveling of the body. to be drawn into someone’s mind, to feel their thoughts press against your own, can be more intoxicating than any physical closeness.
