I wrote a tutorial on how to set up a deviantArt-like art gallery on a neocities (or other static site) come check it out:

It was a lot of work to put my art gallery together and get it working, but because I didn't see literally anything on creating such a gallery (other than ready-made templates) I decided to write up a tutorial hoping it will help others who want to code a more robust art gallery that goes beyond just using a simple slideshow/lightbox. Each image is its own post, like how deviantArt works.

The Twin Priests of Harmony-

Priest of Harmony- Demi/cursed

Amity Accord “StarSwirl” (Tumults twin brother)

Beast of Magic (was born a unicorn)

Long dragon/serpent like body

White/gray fur/coat, dark blue and gold scaly underbelly

Long twisted horn on forehead made of bone (like a memory of something)

Gold Stars and swirls pattern on fur

Fluffy curly tail

Long curly beard

Gryphon like arms/hands (talons are a dark grey to black color)

Dragon like hind legs (still fluffy)

Gold/yellow eyes

Antlers that look like the tree of orders branches

Priest of Harmony (in the future)- Demi/cursed

Tumultuous “Discord” (Amities Twin brother)

Beast of Magic (was born a Pegasus)

Long dragon/serpent like body

Brown coat/fur on main body, gray fur on head, red scales on tail, red and gold scales on underbelly

Huge eyebrows

Sharp teeth

Two antlers that look like the branches of the tree of chaos

There was once twin brothers, a unicorn and a Pegasus. One aligned with order, the other with chaos, other ponies were always weary of the one aligned with chaos. But his twin brother was always supportive of him, loved him dearly, and would never leave him behind. Even as the brother of order became one of the most renowned wizards of his age in order magic, he never left his dear brother behind, he encouraged his interests and talents.

The brother of chaos desperately wanted to get the same public approval and attention his brother had, maybe that’s a little jealous and selfish of him. But he spent his entire life trying desperately to conform but still being treated like a monster for his magic. So eventually he thought why should he continue to please others and just become the monster that they so obviously and desperately wanted him to be.

He was given this magic so why not use it to its full potential? He spiraled out of control, bringing the world into a reign of chaos and disorder.

And The goddesses of harmony did not take kindly to their domain being twisted and altered without their permission. If something wasn’t done right now things could get out of hand. The goddesses were getting angry, the people of the world were being affected by the chaos in unimaginable ways.

But The brother of order couldn’t bring himself to harm his brother, so he pleaded with the goddesses. Help him find a way to calm his brother down without hurting him. He would do anything for them if his brother returned to him unharmed and back to his usual self.

A deal was struck. The two brothers would become beasts of magic, the brother of chaos would be turned to stone by the brother of orders student and whoever the student could find to help him use the elements of harmony they provided. And the imprisonment would last one thousand years, and the brother of order would wait for him. Tasked with finding wielders of the elements of harmony for any problem that may arise in those years. Even if eventually one of those problems became his brother a thousand years later.
