Reading Modern Warfare 09 and 22 as reincarnations is so funny because. Imagine you’re Simon “Ghost” Riley. You’re 6’2” (and somehow the shortest person on your team), legally dead (we don’t talk about it), and have a Weird Thing going on with your Captain (We Don’t Talk About It). You’ve finally managed to find a team that respects you, hasn’t betrayed you, and actually likes you as a person, despite the fact that you’re an asshole whose favorite hobby is putting the fear of god in recruits. You then get betrayed by your commanding officer (again), buried alive (again), and burned (that one’s a first!).
