Ruined Mileven first, for no reason, introdcued Byler for no reason, just to make an ending for Mileven that didnt even felt earned emotionally.
They ruined all the Byler buildup, Will and Mike didnt even have a proper closure, Mike will never know how much Will loved him.
Mike couldnt even say I love you to eleven.
I'll forever grieve what Mike wheeler could have been.
They killed my son and I will never forgive them for it
so they really just used will to push along the toxic relationship that only seemed to work out in the finale.
we will never get an explanation about the painting, the veiled love confession from will…?
why did mileven not kiss at all for 7 episodes? why were they referred to as “friends” multiple times?
why did will and robin have a heart-to-heart about how to know someone wants to date you? why did will and mike have shared looks, brushes of the knee, arms rubbing against each other?
i have so many questions and the writers offer no answers. the avalanche was, in fact, nothing. they told us to look for hints, “coincidences”, shared looks. they told us everything we needed to search for, and they gave us nothing in the end. we didnt even get a dusting of snow.
i am just so angry they knew what the fans were rooting for, encouraged it, implied it would happen, and then ultimately left us with nothing. they never told us byler wouldn’t happen. they told us to keep our eyes peeled, read into the show. they never dispelled us. they encouraged us.
so, i am ever so delighted to say this with my full, full heart:
fuck you matt and ross duffer, fuck you shawn levy, fuck you to all of the writers and directors who made us look like desperate queer people who are so fucking stupid to believe we would get a beautiful gay love story on a mainstream tv show. you have let us down. you will let others down. byler isnt over. byler will live on.

I hope the duffers understand that they have made a 14 year old queer person cry because of how humiliated, angry, upset and MOCKED they feel. The duffers have made a fool of their entire queer audience. I will NEVER recover for how much hope they gave me with all of the evidence, only to absolutely SHATTER those same hopes so completely. I thought stranger things was going to be this beautiful queer story that PROVED cisgender straight people could understand the queer experience, but they’ve just made me feel like I shouldn’t ever have that kind of faith again. Dustin’s making me cry this season. I love him and his character so much and I feel so bad.. he had to watch Eddie die, so now he’s trying to be like Eddie. (The rings Dustin’s wearing especially stood out to me as a ‘trying to be like Eddie’.) He’s trying to mess up his relationships so no one (like Steve) pulls an Eddie and dies for him. I love that boy sm and I have loved since the beginning.
And I need scenes with him and Erica.
