RULES: make a new post with the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous and tag as many people as you have WIPs. People send an ask with the title that most intrigues them, then you post a snippet or tell them something about it!

It's kinda insane how much Minecraft is looked down upon tbh. As like. An art form. A skill. A roleplay and storytelling format. Whenever you get a glance outside the Minecraft sphere you're really hit with a realisation of just how disrepected it is. It's crazy. Minecraft is not only one of the biggest formats on YouTube/streaming, it was also one of the major things that cemented the base of the YouTube letsplay format. It's such an enormously varied space. Look at the artistry of builders vs the high level skill of top PvPers vs the knowledge and dedication of speedrunners vs the creativity of roleplayers and storytellers. And yet it's shoved off to the side in any discussion. Actually so ridiculous.

recently I've come to the realization that I don't know how to write well-adjusted characters

Returning to novel writing after only writing screenplays for like 4 years has been such a brain fuck moment. I’ve had it so drilled into my brain that you only write what the audience can see and even then it’s what is strictly relevant to the story.

So like, wdym I can write what the character is thinking? (<- unless it’s literally v/o, the audience can’t tell what exactly a character is thinking bc you can’t tell that from what you see). Wdym I’m describing every movement the character makes? (<- not my business that’s for the actor/director to block out). Wdym I have to give details of the location the character is in? (<- again not my business that’s for the Director/prod design team to work out)

going the other way is also wild. I love dialogue but LET ME HAVE MY INTERNAL MONOLOGUE DANGIT

it does however save me describing stuff I don’t want to. internal monologue I need. description I can do without!

I need you and @uncooked-glass to sit down and talk about using internal monologue, as @fellamorte and I structure our entire character development, world building, tension, relationships and everything with dialogue.

(like, tbh, I use dialogue first, it’s like my guidelines of what I want to happen (helps when I’m writing a fanfic off a video game and thus have the script to guide me through the story) and then I’ll decide later on if the internal monologue was better suited to convey what I want)

Jack Dorsey funded this with his nonprofit AndOtherStuff. The home page for the organization explicitly lists AI as one of its pillars, saying a goal is "making NOSTR the best social protocol for open source AI development and implementation"

What is open source AI?

It's a program that publicly shares its code for free online, so that anyone can use it for themselves. This means that anything this AI is trained on could eventually make its way into any business, social media site, etc. That uses this code. Or, if not, it'll have the ability to harvest content as well as this.

Even since the app doesn't allow AI openly on the videos themselves, the app is likely to use our original content to train its AI. You might have seen that some AI have experienced a positive feedback loop of declining quality, training itself on other AI slop until anything it produces is unintelligible.

This is likely an attempt to prevent that in video format

Then, any other company that wants to use the code can use this better trained AI to make it even harder to recognize AI across the board.

TLDR; do not give Jack Dorsey any credit for this, do not download the app, and tell others not to either. It's a nostalgia-bait attempt at fueling another AI model
