The Aisha film really kicks you in the guts! Nothing ever goes right for poor Aisha. Everytime she gets settled in somewhere it gets taken away. Francis the house manager of the first house was fucking AWFUL! He never should have kicked her out of the first house Im so pissed off!
The truth is if Aisha was a white girl called Claire, she would have been allowed to stay! I had to say it!
Crazy how Ilya was like "I'm gonna casually check with him about his sexuality and real subtle like make sure he knows I've got options but I'm not seeing anyone except him" and instead what he said (and what Shane heard) was "I'm getting so much PUSSY I have casual long term flings all the time you're just one of them" and then the disconnect made them both insane
Shane’s comfort is his home and his family. When he wants to open up to Ilya, he asks him about his parents and about Russia. Which only causes Ilya to shut down. Ilya has always understood his sexuality and is comfortable with that part of himself. In episode 4, Ilya kept trying to talk to Shane about sex and sexuality. Shane’s sexuality is still something he’s suppressing and doesn’t want to reckon with right now.
The reason Shane and Ilya have such a hard time communicating is that their safe space is the other person’s trigger.
