Reshade Preset - DRAWN

My reshade preset has always been personal and took me a few months to perfect and personalize to my liking. However, many of you guys, from different platforms, have been asking me where my reshade preset is from, so I decided to share it !

DRAWN was made to be light because otherwise my laptop would below up. My main objective was to bring a cozy feeling to the sims 3 with a lot of focus on shadows versus sunlight.

In the beginning, I had many issues with the Comic effect since it would interfere with my sims's hair. At first, I had given up with the comic effect, until my sims 3 friend ended up creating a fix for me. Which is why DRAWN requires Reshade with full add-on support. My friend has created an add-on that excludes the Comic effects from interfering with sims's hairs.

The add-on for the hair fix will be included in the download because she allowed me to share it with you guys ! (y'all better say thank you cause DRAWN wouldn't exist without her 😭)

daydream reshade preset for Sims 3

probably my most subtle reshade preset so far (beside clean&basic). i went ahead an included a copy of the reshade shaders HERE.

hot keys:

F9 - quint ADOF

F8 - Cinematic DOF

uses shaders: quint_adof, CinematicDOF, DPX, HighPassSharpen, SMAA, Deband (NOT quint deband), prod_02_Bloom, Debanding (quint deband), Vibrance

Note: these presets were made with reshade 4.9.1.

these were created in windowed mode - sims 3 fullscreen mode has a brightening mode/overlay so results may vary when using reshade and/or taking screenshots.

ʚ This hairstyle is also custom-made! And it was ordered by a sweet client from Xiaohongshu — definitely a high-end custom request. Now, let me walk you through the emotional rollercoaster of creating this look.

When I first saw the reference photo, my mind went blank. Then I watched clips from the movie, but couldn’t find any clear images of the updo. I was already seeing stars at that point. 😵 So I went searching for tutorials on vintage European updos and finally found one that looked closest to the reference. The method? Just tousling the curls together and securing them with bobby pins. I was literally on the toilet when it hit me — time to get up and get to work!

But then... National Day holiday trips happened, got sick right after coming back, recovered but just wanted to lie around a bit more... and finally, I began. Made several versions, hated them all, and at last — this version came to life! Oh my goodness!!

The best part? Communication with the client was super smooth and efficient — the whole process was an absolute joy. Thank you, God of Wealth — both clients I’ve worked with recently have been amazing!!! Love it!!! ❤️ ɞ

ʚ Anyone else wanna give some love to the promo art for V2? 😄 That little bubble was actually something Mr. Fries (@jcxhksy) and I spotted while reviewing the images on iMessage—it was just too cute not to use! Hehe. But we didn't add it to V1... well, because some classics are just perfect as they are—any tweak feels unnecessary! LOL! ❤️ ɞ

ʚ The hair texture this time is from EA. So what stopped me from using the gorgeous and diverse textures by Teacher Simandy? The answer is… laziness. I was just too lazy to add extra color layers… LAZY TO THE MAX!!!! Next time, for sure, I won't be this lazy! ɞ

ʚ 这个头发也是定制的！还是小红书的宝宝定制的，这把打的高端局。接下来请让我来描述一下做这个定制的心路历程：我一看那个参考图，头都大了，然后看了电影片段，发现没有盘发的高清图，孩子已经眼冒金星了 ，于是我又去搜索欧洲复古盘发教程，发现最像参考图的那个教程里的做法是把卷发团吧团吧揉到一起，再用黑夹子固定在头上（我感觉我用英文翻译这句话的时候会很难受，算了，交给D老师吧），那个时候我正在拉粑，瞬间觉得该起身了。然后经历了国庆游玩，游玩回来生病，病好了躺一会，躺一会终于开始了，开始做了好几版，都是不满意，终于做出了现在这一版！！苍天！最重要的是，我和弹珠宝宝沟通十分高效，整个过程相当愉快，感谢财神啊，遇到的两个弹珠宝宝都非常耐思啊！！！爱！！ ɞ

ʚ 有没有人夸一下这次v2的宣传图啊，那个气泡是我和薯条老师（@jcxhksy）在iMessage点评图片的时候看到的，真的好可爱，于是就用上了嘿嘿，但v1没加，因为我觉得白月光不愧是白月光，略微的改动都显得多余哈哈哈哈哈！ ɞ

@valiasims Cozy Cabin Nursery - 4t3 conversion

A trade with @suteflower again ♥

This set was super fun to convert - I actually managed to convert my first item with additive shader (the arches) and doing all the kinds of texture tricks to make almost everything recolorable with proper stencils was just the right kind of challenge!

All items were converted, including the items for medium and tall walls, not pictured, but they're there!

All BGC and with reasonable polycounts BUT the changing station needs the Store file to work properly. I'm sure you guys know where to get it ;)

The wardrobe and the shelves fit perfectly in the niches without the need of moveobjects on, but for the blanket to fit the crib well you'll need to use ALT or a mod like S3DT.

About the shelves: in the TS4 original both were just display shelves, but I made the one with the tree trunk a display and the plain one a functional bookshelf for versatility!

All recolorable EXCEPT for the stack of books, so I included all overlays in two different files.

Also, for the niches and arches, please use vertical patterns on the short and tall versions or else they will distort. It's fine for the medium versions :P

Comes with a collection file and, if you have a search mod, searching for VALIA or Deniisu will work fine!

as much as i love making cc for female sims, i also am always needing more cc for my males..and i have recently been getting into a new maxis match craze where although it wont be all that i use nor will it be all that i convert, i have come to the realization that there are so many good staple pieces that can give the same effect as alpha cc without the trials and tribulations of decimating and worrying about super high polycount...so here we are!

tired of seeing that god awful poopy green lipstick preset? me too.

this has been on my to-do list foreeeeever, but i've only just now (embarrassingly) cracked the code on how to do it. while these were made with my default makeup replacements in mind, they aren't required for these to work. they're compatible with any makeup that use the base game colour presets (cc or vanilla).

i tried to cater the swatches to a variety of different skin tones as much as possible, but they might need a slight tweak depending on the sim.
