Cassie sent a photo to Harrison, a Tupperware full of cookies that you baked. She's been introducing you to Harrison little by little, the opposite of her ex-husband's more— direct approach with introducing his girlfriend to their son. She smiled at the huge amount of emojis her son sent in response.
"I don't think I can bake for Harrison ever again, it won't be as good as yours, baby." That made you chuckle as you lay down on her couch.
"I think your flat muffins have a charm to them, Cass." She placed her phone away, crawling on top of you and wrapping her arms around your waist, you wrapped your arms around her shoulders in return.
"You smell so good, like cookies." She murmured, nuzzling her face against your neck.
"I could eat you right up—if I wasn't so tired." Her lips caressed your neck, making you shiver, her fingers slipping inside your shirt, feeling your soft skin, drinking in your presence.
"We can eat each other when you're well rested, honey." Your fingers found their way into her hair, you undid that ponytail and gently massaged her scalp. You loved playing with her hair, just watching every strand in the sunlight.
"Hm." Her eyes closed as your fingers moved through her hair. You pressed a kiss on her head, she smiled softly and tightened her hold on you. One of your hands traveled down to her face, tracing her jaw, she didn't move, listening to the sound of your heartbeat and the faint sound of the tv in the background.
"I should've taken you out, something fancy instead of just cuddling on your couch." Her words were mumbled and soft against your skin.
"I enjoy both. I like being all tangled up with you, Cass." She hummed softly against you. You turned off the tv, resting your head back into a cushion and closing your eyes.
