Still Waitng For Silkson-WAIT ITS OUT?!

@octolingprincess

some dork girl that loves homestuck splatoon, hollow knight, Pokémon and mothman She/Them 23 (Background by @bloofbloofbloof)

i have started the campaign and also been browsing the animated series here and there !!!

i always knew i’d love her but i really really do love her a lot

and now for something completely different from the project moon posts i've been making.

i've been looking at a lot of CAIN RPG material lately. me and a guy i talk with often came up with a sort of 'daisy chain' concept, an incredibly rare "CAIN's Worst Nightmare" scenario where one of every Sin type ends up in a fight with one another, due to a list of coincidences involving their respective hosts.

(The chain goes; Toad steals Idol Host <- Idol enthralls Ogre Host <- Ogre Host is the current target of a Hound <- Hound Host dares to exist in proximity to a Centipede <- as a result of the chase, a Lord gets formed thanks to all the destruction the other five are causing being the last straw in some motherfucker's stupid baka life.)

also i have a list of Domains in mind for all six and some loose drafts for appearances

Toad: "The Granting of Gifts"; "Wolf Down the Earth"; "Greasing the Palms"

  • Host is a very superficial type (already has plenty, thinks he deserves even more); wants beautiful girls on his arm, loud, cool-looking cars, nice clothes, and loads of money of course.
  • Toad is, as a result, made to resemble a hot-rod. Red 'skin' with flame decals on it, undifferentiated torso and head, an exposed engine sprouting from between its eyes, four wheeled legs, stubby little arms.

Idol: "Elevation of the Innumerable Mass"; "Slumbering, I Saw a Shape in the Door"; "Taking the Ears"

  • Host is a former influencer & pop star, that had only ever received attention thanks to proximity to bigger names, being in the background otherwise.
  • Idol is made to resemble an ideal 'manager' (taking most from the Bloody Prince), being this large, dark figure; cloak (made of amalgamated posters for things the Host had participated in) is the actual entrance to the Palace (which resembles a backstage area).

Ogre: "Hostile Door Patterns"; "The Inevitable Place of Meat"; "The Lash Calls you Brother"

  • Host is a NEET. Like, what do you want me to say. They hadn't left the house in weeks, even before the Ogre manifested.
  • Ogre is essentially a giant, misshapen 'pillow-and-blanket' creature (pillow 'muscles', blanket 'skin'). Huge and bulky torso, club-shaped arms and legs without any digits, pillowcases are stained from constant use. 'Scars' that are actually just rips in blankets and exposed stuffing. The head is an improperly stuffed throw pillow, with depressions vaguely resembling eyes.

Hound: "Bloodying the Steel"; "Turning Blades, I Laughed at their Brittleness"; "The Fattening of Rage"

  • Unchecked bullying. Like, the host was the very bottom rung, nobody would associate with them unless it was to humiliate and/or harm them.
  • All four limbs are twisted-up, dented lockers (typically keeps the Host contained in one of these; not a Type II though, to be clear). 'Skin' is made of written-on paper (back = "KICK ME", head = "BEHEAD ME", stomach = "DISEMBOWEL ME", etc.). I also keep picturing it with the horns of a ram, for some reason. 'Quills', made of glued-on thumbtacks and plastic straws sticking out of odd places.

Centipede: "Gently Rolling Down the Slope of the Abyss"; "At the Core, My Rot Unfurls"; "Making Friends With the Abattoir"

  • I'm uncertain about both the Host and the Sin here. They have no prior relation to any other Host or Sin on this list, so it's kind of a free-space, isn't it?
  • Though, I'm definitely going with the idea that a Centipede's looks depend on the nature of the 'disaster' their Host wishes would happen, however vague that is.

Lord: "Stricture of Manifestation"; "Stricture of Control"; "Stricture of Narrative"

  • Similar to the Centipede's Host, this is a free space. All I'm certain of is that the Lord is based on whatever act of destruction caused it to manifest.

i also have a vague concept of all six mentioned Hosts becoming Exorcists (with weird Blasphemies building off of both the base list of twelve + one Domain each from two of these Sins, e.g. the Toad Host getting a Blasphemy that's [Tension + Granting of Gifts + Elevation of the Innumerable Mass]), but i'm still working out the kinks in that.
