hello, I’m a queer author and, being very disabled and often too ill to watch TV or get out of bed, I read A Lot. This year, after deciding to stop reading anything I wasn’t enjoying right away, I ended up reading SO MANY amazing books that really got me through it.
If YOU want to read more cool and/or gay books, I wrote some proper blogs about my favourites, what exactly I was most obsessed with, and whether you might like them too:

(Hunger's Bite spoilers) I know you must receive a million messages along the lines of "Hunger's Bite good" but honestly it's one of those things that I finished and thought "yeah, that was pretty good!" and then proceeded to think about nearly every day afterwards. It was good when I finished it (unintentionally in one sitting) and has only gotten better in reflection. Lot I could say about favorite scenes or moments but I think one of the most intense, haunting pieces was the realization at the end that Neeta, Aamir, and Constance were apparently the only non-first class staff or passengers to survive. That after it took Emery being in danger to shock first class passengers into caring enough to abandon ship... It's a very grim commentary. Extremely excellent book. Wonderfully thematically dense despite being such a breezy read.

(i’ll also be discussing spoilers here)
that element–that the first class only cared when it was one of their own and did nothing to help anyone else–is one of those things i think you pick up on the second read and maybe don’t quite internalize the first time through. it’s otherwise a very ‘and then everybody held hands and worked together’ ending, which is what you’d expect from an anti-cap work like this…but it was important to me that we not pretend everything was just fine and dandy because honeycutt lost his influence. you don’t need honeycutt to bring out the worst in people (as the later scene with goldfinch is meant to convey)
i’m glad you’ve picked up on it :^) i’m very proud of the book’s ending
I read hungers bite today very cool and good and you all should also read it 👍
I saw wick’s hair and thought of a vampire character of mine hehe
*points* my boy!
my advice to young adult artists is if you wanna get serious about art or you’re struggling with the way your art looks to you, you should at least once make something you’re extremely horny about and see how that feels. you don’t even need to show it to anyone, just try it. erotica is like steroids for art skills you have to trust me
Hey, I’m trying to find this old webcomic you used to post about, Riverside Extras. Looks like the site for it is down. Do you know if the author ever made any new comics since then?
you’ll never believe who’s sitting across from me at my kitchen table right now lol
she hasn’t made any new comics since then but she’s been looking into a new website to repost riverside extras’ archives. she’s not working on any new comics but she’s still pecking away at creative stuff, mostly writing. she said awww when i told her somebody had asked about her :)
Hi! Same anon that asked about a fanart tag!
Finished the book and I ADORED IT
I love wick sm all of his facial expressions are so good. I love ALL the characters!! I’m really bad at collecting my thoughts coherently so it’s just a lot of DHSJHSJGSJSHJDHS (positive)
I am so so so happy that there’s a book 2 I’m so excited . Runs around in circles
\o/ yayyyyyy
