BLOG ANNOUNCEMENT

!!!This blog supports Palestine!!

Unfortunately, due to large amounts of scam/fake accounts on this website and my inability to be completely certain of reputability when donating/sharing their causes (I do not know Arabic and have no means outside of reverse google image searches to vet them personally, otherwise I must rely on others), I will no longer be sharing INDIVIDUAL CAMPAIGNS that people send me unless I can be absolutely certain of validity.

In the meantime, I will leave this here so anyone willing/able to donate can give funds/time/resources to these charities which are more reputable and can bring aid and relief to the occupied Palestinian people currently experiencing genocide. Some of these are US specific but international donors should be fine!!!

To other blogs that support Palestine: please be wary of bots/scammers taking advantage of a horrific situation and siphoning vital resources from people in need

!!ALSO!! Please donate to Sudanfunds if possible!!

blah blah no one knows how to take criticism yeah but also no one knows how to give criticism anymore. and i mean this in the way of writing/art spaces, workshops, etc. it becomes less of a collaborative effort in refining your own craft and more of a competitive space. everybody just wants to one-up each other. like god i remember in a creative writing class there was this girl who, when we were doing critique circles, would just say stuff like "this story was boring and i didn't like it" and the thing is that, in my opinion, she was right a lot of the time. but she didn't say why it was boring, why she didn't like it, and also because she came from this attitude of looking down on everybody, nobody wanted to hear her out anyway! and in any case, it actually didn't matter, to me, if she found it boring or if i found it boring, because oftentimes they were stories not written to our taste. like you're not there to tell the author how to make a story YOU like, you're there to see what kind of story the author wants to write, and make suggestions on how they can achieve that. and like of course your own personal preferences will color everything, but you really and i mean REALLY have to consider whether what you're saying serves their story or serves you. and people just aren't doing that anymore.

i mean fuck i go to sketch writing workshops and i'll see people suggest a complete overhaul of an idea because it isn't funny to them. because you know comedy is the most objective thing on the earth. lol. like idk if a joke doesn't hit for me, i just want it to be executed so that it might hit for somebody else. like are you in these spaces so everybody can help foster each others vision or are you there to feel like you're better than everybody else. just wondering

What do you think of this Flora design?

I imagined her sometime after Lost Future.

Here, she’s a student ( loosely inspired by Amelia’s design in the movie ) maybe studying robotics or something related to her father’s work.

I see her trying to become more independent: trying to meet people her own age (probably failing to make friends though), going out on her own instead of always being “escorted” by the professor. She’s still a bit anxious about crowds and the outside world, but she feels much more comfortable when she’s with someone she trusts.

I’ve loved Flora since I was a kid, and I always felt a little sad about how often she was forgotten or left behind. As a little girl myself, I just wanted a kind, pretty character I could relate to, so this is my way of giving her some space to grow 🤎

For now, I’m just playing with ideas and trying to build a small story that could take place after Lost Future. It’s a personal project, and I’m taking it slow since I’m still a student.

If anyone happens to see this and wants to share ideas — about the design, a possible story, or even puzzles — feel free to comment!

I LOVE HERRRR YESSSS

(Curious Village + minor lost/unwound future spoilers)

Also while I only got into PL recently, I have so much empathy for her and her struggles, I loved LF but I felt sad seeing her get left behind and forgotten about too. You did an awesome job with her design and I adore your thoughts about her growth, plus the robotics study could allow her to visit St. Mystere and continue repairing the people once Bruno passes.

I am brain rotting so bad I built my Tav (Wit) for bg3 as like a suave Bard/rogue with a hella dark past in my head (kinda like Astarion but not a vamp, more artsy and stupider) but the way the game writes the gale romance is just. So funny in this context. Like in my head (and sorta in game) they have been flirting with fine ass ppl flippantly and turning them down w ease, but when Gale pulls the “you ever read books about getting horny after battles?” They just MELT and become a stuttering flustered mess. Like gale literally said “you remind me of my tressym lmao” and (given no further context) Wit just went “🥺🥺🥺omg wait that’s so hot wAIT /(>/////<)\”

God bless the writers for the amazing game and a new favorite trope of “suave heartthrob unapologetically down horrendous for an awkward nerd”

Update: I am going insane about them

(This is how my tav, Wit, is usually: very flirty, suave and confident)

(And this is how he is with Gale)

Minor update but I renamed them Charm since I realized they had ASS Wis and Int (I genuinely thought they were higher but for some reason int was lowest and Wis wasn’t particularly amazing either lmaooo)
