this isn't a real Fount of Knowledge flashback. its a dream sequence that happens post by8. this is happening after their encounter with Pure Vanilla/Pure Vanilla's awakening, and it's happening in a dream Shadow Milk is having
the Light of Deceit isn't mocking Shadow Milk. it's actually calling him a fucking idiot for not taking Pure Vanilla's offer.
i think whats killing me most here is that Shadow Milk outright says APV's awakening is what freed the Light of Deceit's voice. it "got more talkative" after they encountered APV. like holy shit. Light of Deceit was unsilenced by APV (!) and talks to Shadow Milk again (!!) only for Shadow Milk to silence it again (!?)
Light of Deceit was woken up by APV's awakening and the first thing it did was quote APV back at Shadow Milk to call him a dumbass for having what he wanted OFFERED TO HIM and then REFUSING to take it 😭 all the soul jams r so petty.
and ofc Shadow Milk couldn't handle the fact that even his own damn soul jam was like ARE YOU STUPID?? LOOK HOW STUPID YOU ARE!! so he shut it up.
something about giving you your inner voice of reason back only for you to instantly choose to doom yourself again by forcing it silent. jfc. u know how to pick em pure vanilla
and ive been seeing a lot of ppl say otherwise about the Light of Deceit so im gonna just ask: why would the Light of Deceit want to hurt Shadow Milk? it's his own soul jam. it may be the Light of Deceit but that doesnt mean its also evil or that it hates its owner 😭 the soul jams clearly don't have morals if the Beasts can hear theirs!! corruption clearly has no part in if the soul jams voices can be heard, ergo, the soul jams are morally neutral and likely the only things they care about are their holders.
Light of Deceit cares about Shadow Milk but it has to use his methods to get him to listen to it because as we all know, Shadow Milk is a stubborn ass. Light of Deceit wasn't trying to mock or isolate or abuse Shadow Milk, it's calling him stupid in the one way it knows will get through to Shadow Milk because it WANTED him to say yes to APV.

Yeaas, I do know of Rich Cheese Cookie!
I do like the idea of Golden Cheese having a biological daughter, and her design is really nice too. Although, I do prefer what we have now because of a few reasons.
I think Golden Cheese "adopting" and taking in these characters, her treasures, holds a greater impact to her story. I think it's a better way to display her character, because it's the fact that she loves her people so dearly and is willing to move mountains for them.
I think Rich Cheese is good, but she is not really necessary. I can understand why the devs scrapped her because in actuality, she is not really needed to carry the story forward. She doesn't seem to hold that much significance either to Golden Cheese's character unlike Royalberry and Dark Choco.
Dark Choco and Royalberry are good characters because they serve as clear testaments of Dark Cacao's and Hollyberry's flaws and good deeds on a really deep and personal level. And yet, they still hold themselves well as their own character. Unfortunately, Rich Cheese doesn't have this.
But I do love when people make AUs of her, I especially like when they make AUs with her, Dark Choco and Royalberry being besties, it's cute and funny haha.
