Behold, a man.

Ladies, Gentlemen, and other esteemed members of the gentry, welcome to my blog.

My name is Oskar, I am a 18 year old African American autistic trans man with ADHD If you are wondering, I am a firm believer of transandrophobia. I am also a type two diabetic. I am pre T, and my pronouns are He/Him and They/them. Ich spreche deutsch, aber mein Deutsch ist nicht so gut.

My content mostly revolves around transandrophobia, historical fashion, queer history, Sherlock Holmes, Pokemon, The Magnus archives, and other special interests I have.

TERFS, transandrophobia deniers, racist, classist, ableist, and generally shitty people DNI.

Anyone else here for dirty old man Papas, specifically Copia? Like, not that he's predatory or malicious, but he does absolutely get off on the age gap.

(For full clarity, everyone is of age in these scenarios, and frankly you could be well into your 30s and still have quite a gap with the Papas so keep that in mind)

With Copia, it's not a factor from the start. You only figure it out once you've been seeing each other for a while, when you're teasing him about your age difference. It was just playful, maybe a comment on his movie tastes, his video games, a new strand of gray in his hair. It's not meant to be salacious in any way, just a bit of fun.

But you can recognize the way his spine stiffens, how his eyes dilate. That night is the first time you get to see him really take control. It's exhilarating for him, just like when you use his title, another way to hold power over someone when he'd never had any control in his life before. He's rougher than normal, but the same anxious mess with aftercare as always, if not more so, afraid he may have overstepped. It's only when you assure him you're into it too that he's able to fully relax again.

Secondo has been very clear about how he feels about your age gap from the beginning - while it's not the primary reason for his attraction to you, it certainly has been and is a factor. He's more experienced, wiser, and getting to teach you things - both inside and out of the bedroom - brings him a little thrill. He gets to show you so much of the world, and no matter how experienced you are, he's more knowledgeable in nearly every way.

And you play it up too, mostly to be a brat, which he certainly has fun with as well. All you have to do is call him "old man" in the wrong tone of voice and you know you'll be feeling it in the morning, just like the both of you wanted. (Also definitely has a Daddy kink like, come on.)

For Terzo, it's not explicitly because he's older than you, but more as part of his corruption kink. If you pointed out his age directly, he might actually be insulted - Terzo is not old and he will absolutely remind you of that as often as he needs to - but it does play into the power dynamic between you. He outranks you, he's more knowledgeable than you, and you're just so sweet and perfect. Tender and young and inexperienced, he wants to show you the world.

He also wants to see how far he can push you (within reason, of course, he's not a monster). And you like learning from him, like seeing the darker side of things, pushing the limits. Having such a vivacious teacher is certainly a bonus, and with all his experience he can absolutely show you a good time.

Primo is also into expanding your horizons, but it's far more equal than his younger brothers. You are young, yes, and maybe even a little naive, but that just means you need someone to protect you. To watch over you and guide you, always taking your cue which path you'd like to walk down. Watching you experience things for the first time makes him feel young again.

The most you'll get out of him as a direct confirmation he likes that you're younger is the way he reacts when others point out the gap - his face might flush under his paints, his grip on you might tighten slightly. Sometimes he worries he won't be enough for you, that you'll find someone closer to your age, someone who's more spry and flexible (figuratively and literally), but you always reassure him he's more than enough.

Nihil is absolutely delusional and still sees himself as a 50 year old hot-shot when his body isn't inconvenient enough to remind him he is not, so he actually doesn't really think about the age gap between you two much - despite it being the largest out of the group! But he'd love you even if you were (somehow) older than him, as far as he's concerned the sun shines just for you, so it doesn't matter that he's robbing the cradle - you're all his.

Bringing these back because I feel strongly about them.

Perpetua probably also doesn't even consider it, really. He's not stupid, obviously it's there (especially if he's some kind of Creature and more long lived), but it just doesn't pass through his thoughts. He's too busy enjoying you, the moments you share together, learning from each other as much as you looking to him for guidance at times. If you brought it up directly, he'd play along if you were into it, but other than that, it's simply a non-issue.

This person wrote a manifesto I ain’t reading all that but this is literally the type of behavior im talking about the idea hobbies all cost money is so removed from reality if you have the time to pick up your phone and write 7 paragraphs on how im victimizing you with my offhanded post you have the time to watch a movie on YouTube with your very same phone instead come on now. How is you freaking out on the internet helping any of these issues

things that dont cost money: hiking, walking, birdwatching, identifying plants, drawing (you have a pen, reading (library), collecting rocks, dancing, singing.... etc wtc etc

if you cant find a hobby you can afford, thats a you problem. and if youre posting online, you have a device to do that, get some free games, trawl wikipedia, study something. stop picking fights online and do something else.

if you can write an essay about it on your phone you can write fanfic or poetry or something on your phone also and it will be much nicer for everyone involved, including you

In-person hobby communities are usually extremely happy to see someone new join in, and will almost guaranteed bury you in free stuff to get you started. Now you have both a hobby and a community, and if you're a good community member they will likely find ways to keep you involved for free or within your budget

I know not all small towns have a local library anymore, but so many still do. Please support your local library and pick up some excellent free hobbies as well.

I live in a very small town, but we have always supported our library. They have tons of free programs and clubs for kids. But they also have plenty of things for adults as well. Just to name a few -

  • Reading bingo cards 4 times a year with a prize drawing at the end
  • crochet club
  • knitting club
  • craft club made with recycled materials
  • book club
  • beginner spanish class
  • cooking class
  • cooking around the world class
  • classic movie watching club
  • bingo night
  • concert night featuring local groups
  • parents night out babysitters club
  • tech club to learn the latest tech
  • potluck night and share recipes
  • barn dance night
  • build a gingerbread house
  • pajama reading night
  • story time by local historians
  • author talks 4-6 times a year
  • adult caregiver support group
  • red cross blood drives with entertainment
  • jigsaw puzzle night and contest
  • media literacy and critical thinking classes

These were just the ones that I could personally remember or were listed on our January calendar

If your library doesn't have something you'd love to see, ask your local librarian if they could sponsor it. Or even consider volunteering your time to run a club or class yourself.

i'm not saying Papa V Perpetua is definitely transgender and has been pregnant before, but i am saying it's fucking crazy that:

  • people have consistently reported him miming being pregnant and giving birth while singing Prime Mover, a song about forced pregnancy. (all of the other Papas have performed this song live. none of them ever did what V does when he performs it.)
  • he's named Papa V Perpetua, which may or may not be related to Saint Vibia Perpetua, a nursing mother with an infant son, who was martyred in the year 203 and became a patron saint of mothers / expecting mothers.
  • the Peacefield music video has this iconic and insanely transgender shot of a little girl's face fading into Papa V's face:
  • and BONUS: the feast day of Saint Vibia Perpetua is celebrated on March 7th, and i believe Papa V's date of birth is March 7, 1970 due to the prominent usage of solar eclipse imagery in the Rite Here Rite Now scene depicting Sister Imperator giving birth to Cardi + V. there was a very notable solar eclipse on March 7, 1970 and the timing is consistent with Sister Imperator being pregnant in late 1969

i don't know. i don't know. i think Papa V Perpetua is definitely transgender and has been pregnant before--

grabbing like 80 percent of the lesbians I know by the shoulders and saying listen. listen. you have to stop categorizing everyone and everything into Women (Good) and Men (Bad). you might not think you’re doing it, but you are. it’s very clear from the ways in which you talk about trans men and bi women and your experience with gender and your difficulties in the dating scene that on some subconscious level, you think that moral purity is directly proportional to how much Man Stuff somebody has in their life. that contact with men and male-associated cultural byproducts will give you Boy Cooties. it won’t. but I can tell you think it does, and so do all of your trans friends, and it makes us all uncomfortable. so cut it out

hey and also–no, bro, listen. listen. stop associating Women (Passive) and Men (Aggressive). I can tell you’re doing that too. and then these two categorization modes get stuck together, and you wind up with Women/Passive/Good and Men/Aggressive/Bad, and that’s why you believe there’s such a thing as a “top shortage” and why you can’t quite convince yourself to try going on T and why you’re too scared to initiate sex with your girlfriend of four months. please be normal

100%

& In the art history world this is so common. & So easy to find yourself believing things like men artists only objectify models while women artists are pure and good.

So many past professors & professionals I’ve worked with in the field have either had like full classes on this or said things like this in passing

It’s so easy to fall for gender essentialism and that is a very slippery slope.

Also, listen y’all. Listen. Everyone. Everything mentioned in this post ties to racism as well.

Women/passive/good associations with lighter skin and man/aggressive/bad associations with darker skin are STILL unconsciously (sometimes consciously!) perpetuated TO THIS DAY.

Stop it.

The number of people who still unironically say “having [disability] is no excuse for [known disability symptom]” annoy me to high heaven.

“Autism is no excuse for having bad social skills!” “OCD is no excuse for white guilt or being afraid you might be a pedophile!” “Depression is no excuse for not taking showers!” “Hyperfixations are no excuse to hyperfixate!”

Like…do you hear yourself. Do you really hear yourself.

looking at the papas through the core energies of their albums is so funny, like

seven inches of satanic panic: iiiii like you a lot and we are going to be okay👍 it's also the 60s so let's do drugs

opus eponymous: murder is okay. welcome to satanic bible study camp

infestissumam: the nature of sacrifice and sainthood is inherently linked to consumption, and if we view the holy as the eaten, my role is to be consumed. i am, inherently, an offering.

meliora: only good things have ever come from my greed. btw does anybody else hear that ominous bell tolling lol

prequelle: i am so sick of being persecuted by everyone around me, and i can't help but covet that which has been given to others free of charge. and then they'll all be sorry

impera: ok i calmed down. the rise and fall of empires is cyclical in nature and we will live to see the end of this age. i miss my brothers

skeletá: NEVER kill yourself, death WILL come to you on HER OWN TIME.

Lesbians who hate men are kinda wild?

Like, sure, you don't find men attractive, you're entitled to that. You don't have to fuck them, that's your call.

But going from "I don't want to date/fuck you" to "I think you're lesser than me and don't deserve respect, and think you should suffer for your gender" is merely one step away from the way men like Andrew Tate treat women that they don't find attractive.

Just because you're not into men doesn't mean you shouldn't respect them.

Low key I hate it when people act like men just can’t be queer or that queer men don’t exist. Like I hate it when people say they are all for queer rights but then have this mind set that queer people need to be protected from men or that men couldn’t possibly understand what it’s like to be queer and it’s just infuriating.

Let aslo not forget how some ppl treat trans mans better then trans women which is misogyny like, I'm not saying that trans man need to be treated like shit but it shame that trans woman are treated like shit like are we fr 💔🥀

My post was specifically about the way people treat queer men?? Pls explain??? I don’t think that trans men are treated any better than trans women, honestly people forget that trans men exist half the time.

“The Militarization of the Police Department – Deadly Farce,” an original painting by Richard Williams from “The 20 Dumbest People, Events, and Things of 2014″ in Mad magazine #531, published by DC Comics, February 2015.

Here’s the original, for comparison. And here’s a bit more about the artist and why he created the piece above for MAD Magazine.

Richard Williams on Norman Rockwell:

“For most people, he was the painter of ‘America,’” he added. “But even he said his vision was what he wanted ‘America’ to be. It was a mythical ‘America,’ a place where all people were decent, honest and full of good will. His work was full of gentle humor that made you feel a little better; even if you knew it wasn’t really true… you just wished it was. My parody of Rockwell’s painting simply says, ‘That myth is dead.’”

I think it’s relevant to add that even Norman Rockwell chose to leave his cushy job at the Saturday Evening Post because he wanted to make artwork that was more radical. The Post had rules that wouldn’t allow him to do artwork depicting black people as anything other than servants. The job paid really well and that was a huge reason he continued on. But he wanted change that and so he moved to Look magazine.

A lot of people know about the very first piece he did when he left the post which was the The Problem We All Live With which depicts Ruby Bridges walking to school under federal protection.

But I don’t think enough people know about Murder in Mississippi which depicts three real civil rights activists who were murdered by the Ku Klux Klan and sherriffs. The magazine ran the sketch instead of the finished piece because they felt it had a more striking statement to accompany the article. Norman Rockwell would finish that version after publication which is here

Rockwell’s legacy is sanitized because he decided to maintain his job at the Post for so long despite his frustrations with not being able to express himself. The civil rights movement was just his final straw to change what he could with the little time he had left. Look magazine received a lot of hate for Rockwell painting these as well.

Another favorite piece of mine is The Right to Know which depicts an integrated populace questioning their government. In 1968, the year of Vietnam and the year the Fair Housing Act only just got signed in months prior:

But I think it’s important to include the caption Rockwell originally wrote for the piece as well. I think it represents how a 74 year old Rockwell felt about the America he believed in and the people in it:

We are the governed, but we govern too. Assume our love of country, for it is only the simplest of self-love. Worry little about our strength, for we have our history to show for it. And because we are strong, there are others who have hope. But watch us more closely from now on, for those of us who stand here mean to watch those we put in the seats of power. And listen to us, you who lead, for we are listening harder for the truth that you have not always offered us. Your voice must be ours, and ours speaks of cities that are not safe, and of wars we do not want, of poor in a land of plenty, and of a world that will not take the shape our arms would give it. We are not fierce, and the truth will not frighten us. Trust us, for we have given you our trust. We are the governed, remember, but we govern too.

Regarding Norman Rockwell, I also want to shout out “New Kids in the Neighborhood (Moving Day)” in 1967:

Also for LOOK magazine, but leaning on his themes of youth and suburban life. Expressing both hope for the curiosity and open-mindedness of children, and the bitter recognition of the suspicion of adults towards racial integration (see the face peeking out of the window in background). It’s notable that this is what he wanted America to be, too. He hoped for a better future.

I think that MAD Magazine artwork is really good and really poignant, and it’s also interesting to put it in conversation with Norman Rockwell’s own political evolution in his art as well.
