My friend Zeina and her sizable family require constant support and I have spoken to Zeina about what the amount or expense is for her family in an average month. The number is saddening. 3000 to 6000 usd dollars. That is. Insane. Moreover, their expenses for the most basic needs in a day can get up to 300.

That is infuriating.

But I am here to tell you that on top of that truth, her baby sister, Ronza, is in critical condition and needs medical care that so many people relying on kindness from strangers cannot alone afford.

You have the power to give. To share. To treat Zeina as the leader she is and to help save a child's life.

I beg you to help her. From the bottom of my heart.

Apparently ICE now has agents posing as utility workers to get into people's homes. The electric and gas companies have posted information on how to tell if it's one of their workers, and numbers to call to confirm whether they've sent someone to do utility work on your house.

Originally, I was considering posting a gofundme after I lost my job right before surgery, but I held off, and then this happened.

On 12/17, the apartment my spouse and I moved into only two weeks prior was devastated when construction crews working in our building ruptured a major water line on the third floor, sending a deluge through our apartment. The flood left our bedroom in ruins and half of our living room in need of repair.

We’re working with our landlord, and the insurance paperwork is piling up, but nobody can tell us how long it will take to sort things out. Meanwhile, we've squeezed ourselves, our belongings, and our furry companions into a small room with a single memory foam mattress while we try to make sense of and navigate this mess.

The construction company responsible for this mess has taken on the repairs, but so far, their work has been woefully subpar. They’ve even neglected to fix a number of things so they could hurry up and get out of here faster

Luckily, our property manager has stepped in and called them out on it, which was a huge relief for us. Unfortunately, now we have to wait on repairs for the repairs and this means we’re still stuck sleeping on the couch and floor while this drags on

They cut off usda funding from Minnesota, which includes wic and snap. Please consider donating to food banks around the area or food drives. Many immigrants are too scared to leave their homes to shop as well and a community member is doing great work.

We are exhausted from constantly having to explain ourselves, which is why we now speak with very few words. I was car bound last year, harassed by police and ticketed several times-almost getting my car towed. Chronically housing and job insecure because of transphobia since 2018. I'm housed now, but I need help with car repairs and with paying the tickets off so I can keep my license.
