i'm parasite, and i post for honor, not for glory. i like first and third person shooters and yaoi and cooking and fashion and i have sketch requests open at my art blog. i’ve been reading fanfic since elementary school and made my first tumblr in 2011, i miss old fandom's earnest attitude so bad. kink and violence ahead, firmly dead dove territory. untagged queue.

system (🦠 is our system tag signifier), cptsd, adhd, autism, st/dpd, ocd, dp/dr, midwestern american, substance use enjoyer, etc. i put these here because despite the fact everyone thinks they're the sherlock holmes of understanding what's wrong with other people, we are still frequently misunderstood, because of what others project onto us :) i love psychoanalyzing other people but you need life experience to do it well and not everybody's met someone like us <3

art is communication. it's connection. skill is relative and oftentimes unimportant.

i fucked my body up being a big strong manual laborer to pay the bills, blue collar pride forever! currently though i'm living in the beautiful middle of nowhere caretaking family members.

imago ( @compressednerve ) is the love of my life, and i'm their caretaker, so we're a package deal. (👁‍🗨 is their system tag signifier) 8 years strong babey!!

Have you guys noticed how much the internet/technology just does not listen to you anymore? I click “don’t show this artist” on Spotify and I get recommended a music video by them on the front page. I click “skip this update” on a pop up every time I open a file organization app and it’s right back there every time. O click unsubscribe on a newsletter and it keeps showing up in my inbox!! I click “delete my account” and the next time I open the website they suggest I “reactivate”.

Power is a funny thing.

Polymarket refusing to pay out millions of dollars worth of bets that the US would invade Venezuela, claiming instead that the American bombing of multiple Venezuelan cities and its kidnapping of Maduro did not constitute an 'invasion', is fascinating. Not because it's novel, but because this sort of grim financial speculation and manipulation has sat at the heart of modern imperialism. The British even did much the same thing in 1948, when the Labour government called its colonial bombardment and brutal invasion of Malaya an 'emergency', in order to save UK insurance firms from having to pay out claims. Empire always finds ways to avoid servicing its debts, whether those of cash or blood.

one of the things that surprises me most about q/uantum break (in a positive way) is how often the characters basically turn to the camera and go ok guys, now here's some good tips for more safely dissenting against corporations and cops hurting the american people!! remember your rights! ;]

the funny part is that at the time it was kinda subtle messaging because the average gamer wasn't necessarily politically aware, but now it feels so obvious because we have daily examples of this shit. i respect them a lot for that
