I think Caine(TADC) is a great example of when you take things to far, unlike Charlie(HH) and the only reason for that is writing.

Both of them are clueless of how people work. Both what people to like them and their ideas.Both clearly don’t know when to stop or get into people space. Both are powerful people. Both of them “ means well”, both use peoples trauma to get their way.

The only difference is that, the narrative treats treats their actions very differently. For Charlie the show doesn’t really question her ideas, or change her, or even punish her in any way shape or form. Like her redeeming sinners and her only excuse is that they did one bad thing so it shouldn’t be a big deal. Basically not thinking of the victims of those sinners actions.

Look as Sir Pentious he got into hell because he didn’t tell anyone about a killer. Yet he’s the victim because he feels guilty about it, but not the 5 women who were killed. He doesn’t even get to meet any of the victims and gives them an apology. Because he’s a good guy for sacrificing myself. 

Now look at Caine from the very beginning of the series no one really like Caine and we got to see why. His Adventures are way to hard or makes zero sense his terms for mature adventure is put everyone into a “the last of use” or “ resident evil adventure. He can’t handle criticism or even allowing anyone to have their own fun. I can go on and on.

Let’s not forget how she keeps failing on Angle dust and instead of him leaving the hotel because of Charlie actions he left for something that wasn’t even his fault.

But he never put his hands into anyone until the last episode were it’s reveal that yes. Caine have cause the abstracting to people before by messing with people though and members. After this episode all the Caine’s fan can agree enough is enough and can is being a villain now. Even if he didn’t really meant to hurt anyone he still cause it and chose to avoid it.

To keep it short one sugar coat one character’s actions. the other don’t.

I LOVE this comparison so much and how one is handled gracefully while the other is barely acknowledged at all.

The way Charlie is handled just makes it look like Vivzie is projecting how she feels about people criticizing her shows and making them look like the bad guys while she's a victim. Charlie's views and beliefs are never challenged in any meaningful way and when she figured out that a way to possibly redeem sinners is to "face their sins" makes her look like a moron for never coming to that conclusion earlier.

While with Caine, it's clear that he's meant to be someone we're not supposed to entirely like. It's made clear by both the show and Goose that he doesn't understand how humans and emotions work, that doesn't excuse his more fucked up actions and makes it clear that the things he does is fucked up and doesn't excuse or have characters say "Well he's clearly trying! So he MUST care!"

And with the latest episode, any little trust the characters had for him is COMPLETELY shattered beyond repair and might even start to rebel against him from what was revealed.

I'll be honest I don't really know who Blackishhh is. Like I know of him, I've seen him mentioned a few times.

So while I didn't dislike the season of Hazbin, it definitely could have benefited from having more episodes. Lute was also heavily underutilized despite the build up from 'Gravity'. Would have also liked to have seen Charlie cut loose at least once and throw some hands rather than getting finessed by multiple characters all season and not get a single fight.

I wish Charlie fought Vox ngl

All season we had these two characters be compared and contrasted, how their desire for validation and self esteem issues are formed wit how they project and deal with them. How these flaws had ended up pushing away those they love the most, but whereas Charlie managed to fix her relationship with Vaggie through acknowledgement, Vox kept digging and digging until he found himself in a hole by himself.

So why not have these two face off against each other in the end? Yes, Charlie is a lot stronger than Vox, but that's why you get creative. Vox using the weapon powered by her father after she got him on the back foot would be interesting because finally Charlie can get hurt, the playing field is a bit more even.

It's also the main protagonist vs the main antagonist. But we get nothing from their interactions besides the way to drive Alastor's plot and story. Charlie has nothing to gain from her own story besides being used as a prop for Vox vs Alastor, and I'm sick to death of her being shafted of so much interesting storytelling for the show's blorbos.

Like don't get me wrong, Charlie had spent most of the season pissing me off because of how the story was treating her and her behaviour. The final nail in the coffin was her inviting Angel's abusers into the hotel and not immediately kicking them out when he specifically asked her not to have them here for very valid reasons.

But she is a fictional character. Charlie didn't do this, the writers wrote her to do this. They're the ones refusing to give her character meaningful storytelling and consequences, so they get the shit stick.
