I have a gen X coworker who uses AI for everything. Everything. I watched her use it to generate an answer to an email from a parent asking if she could accommodate a child with disabilities in her program. When I told her that I, personally, would be offended if she used AI to write an email to me, she was surprised. She could not understand why.
My mom got me an “AI birdfeeder” that sends photos of birds to your phone and tries to identify them. Putting aside the fact that I am not going to give my wifi password and photos of my street to a spyware app–why would I want a computer to identify birds for me? My mom got me this gift because she knows I enjoy identifying birds. Do people want AI to eat their food and fuck their wives for them too?
