my once a year indulgence of celebrity culture is watching awards shows and getting annoyed at the translators in real time

I think every movie regardless of time period or tone should have at least 1 (one) trans person in it. Like at the beginning of The Godfather some Sicilian tgirl should come to Vito and be like “Godfadda, I need money for my breast implants” and Vito should be like “I’ll never forget what you’ve done for this family. I’ll find you the best surgeon in New York”

William Wegman (US, Massachusetts, Dec 2, 1943)

Man Ray Contemplating the Bust of Man Ray, 1978
Silver gelatin print 20,3 x 20,3 cm (8 x 8 in)

In 1978, the conceptual artist William Wegman sculpted a clay bust of his Weimaraner, and photographed the dog gazing at it.

Wegman titled it Man Ray Gazing at the Bust of Man Ray, in part because Man Ray was the dog’s name, but he actually collaborated with Man Ray (the artist) shortly before his death.

The title is also an echo of Aristotle Contemplating the Bust of Homer by Rembrandt. Self-reference was standard for ‘70s conceptual art…

Later he became famous for his popular clownish Weimaraner portraits

Almost identical post of diana-andraste, but higher res and better tone for top img
