Hi I’m Nyx!

Ostensibly I do character analysis and art, however there’s a lot of shitposting too.

Don’t be afraid to come chat with me :D my DMs are open and I love asks!! I will take art requests and am happy to answer questions about my thoughts/analysis on characters/scenes/arcs/ships/whatever from any of my fandoms, I find that sort of stuff really fun! they may take a while to answer (the joys of college eating my time and energy) but I will still do my best!
You can totally ask me other stuff too! this is just me encouraging these in particular because I find them fun
(just dont send me/request anything explicit or try to flirt with me)

I love it when a literal other self is used to metaphorically explore themes of self-love and self-harm by externalizing the self into another being to highlight how hating yourself is no better than hating another person and that you should grant yourself the same empathy you would offer someone else. And then the person gains power or saves their own life by accepting their other self self-perceived flaws and all.

Bonus points for the other self being some flavor of inhuman in form.

It’s a terrible shame I cannot rec a (live action remake) Cowboy bebop fanfic to the Yugioh fandom as like- the crystallization of my mental image of Jou’s perspective on his relationship with Yugi (at LEAST till the end of BC) cranked up to 11. The ‘I know I’m not good. It doesn’t stop the Want. I know I want. It won’t stop the knowledge that you deserve better’.
