How to get Depositphotos free trial?

By Matic Broz ·

The steps

  1. Go to the Depositphotos free trial page.
  2. Enter your credit card information (it will stay safe).
  3. Click the red Start Free Trial button.
  4. Enjoy your 10 free images.

Signing up for the Depositphotos free trial gives you the first week free of charge on their annual monthly subscription.

Even though you have to enter your credit card details, you won’t get charged before 7 days. This protects Depositphotos from people abusing the free trial and starting it multiple times using different email addresses.

What’s included in the Depositphotos free trial?

Typical free trials give you the first month of a free subscription. The Depositphotos free trial is a bit different because it lasts 7 days during which you can download 10 images, which doesn’t correspond to any Depositphotos plan.

If you don’t cancel the free trial within 7 days, your plan will automatically be upgraded to 30 downloads for a $29 per month subscription or 10 downloads for $19.99 per month for EU citizens. US citizens can also get the same plan, but they have to contact support for it and they pay only $9.99 per month.

After your free trial starts, you will have 7 days to download any 10 photos, vectors, or illustrations on Depositphotos. With each download, you will get Depositphotos’ Standard license, which is a royalty-free license.

With it, you can use every image commercial and non-commercially. It allows you to get unlimited online impressions and create 500,000 copies and prints. The license also includes $5,000 in legal coverage.

How to cancel the Depositphotos free trial

You can cancel the free trial any time within 7 days in the Plans > Your Subscription > Settings. If you do this before the trial ends, you won’t get charged.

If you forget to cancel your free trial within 7 days, Depositphotos offers a 30-day refund period. However, you cannot request a refund if you have downloaded one or more files.

Ok, but what happens with the images I downloaded, you may ask. You can keep using them in the same way you would with an active subscription. They are yours to keep.

How does the Depositphotos free trial compare

Depositphotos’ free trial is shorter than other photo free trials because it gives you only 7 days free, but you can still download 10 images for free during this time. That’s similar to what you get at iStock and Adobe Stock.
