Well, not all of them are giving him an actual hug, but I think they’re trying their best to give him something as similar as they can.

I spent a whole week to make this thing but tbh i still have no idea on how to make a video so it’s not smooth at all orz… (in fact it’s just a bunch of messy doodles grouping together 😫😫 I didn’t colour it as well coz that’ll be very tiring and tedious) but I think this’d be a better way to present it. I tried. My apologies.

For context: In this episode, they’ve been desperately trying to keep a fatally wounded man alive just long enough that he didn’t die on Christmas Day. They know there’s nothing they can do to help this man, but he had children, and they don’t want Christmas Day to be the day those children lost their father. A last, sad gift for a bereaved family.

They try and try, but shortly before midnight they have to step back and allow the man to die. What they’re doing is no longer medicine, it’s just cruel.

Then Hawkeye steps over to the clock, and moves the minute hand forward. Achieving their aim a different way. Choosing to lie, just a little, about time of death, so that Christmas doesn’t become a perpetual sad reminder for a family. 

Makes me cry every time.
