Current obsession: Heated Rivalry

I still can’t believe that the penthouse scene was the first scene that they shot for the show. The amount of chemistry they have is THICK in the air you would think they had known each other for ten years already. The tension? The eye contact? The freak of it all?? Ilya’s fucking stone cold desire? Shane’s delivery in that scene is one of my favorites of the entire show and you’re telling me he was trembling for it on DAY ONE???

Generational Talents and we are lucky enough to inhabit the same planet at the same time.

when i say 'boys will be boys' i mean shane and ilya rushing up the stairs to reach the apartment first, i mean ilya shaking his wet hair to annoy shane and kissing his helmet after he scores, i mean them choosing each other's team on the playstation, i mean ilya doing a handstand in the lake

Hudson Williams' portrayal of Shane Hollander is honestly so breathtaking to me as someone who has grown up surrounded by and as a neurodivergent person. I never once considered that he wasn't acting enough because I know this emotion — subtle and stilted but there and strong. The flicker of the eye, the tick of the mouth, the stance; it's all so incredibly important and Williams has mastered it. I don't think we could've asked for a better actor to play fumbling, awkward, autistic Shane Hollander. This is the representation of neurodivergent people — especially queer neurodivergent people — we need more of (insightful, careful, reverent).
