Hot amaryllis tip ( one of hundreds ) that I learned from @gregorlersch. Instead of taping the end of the stem to prevent splitting, insert a toothpick horizontally and use a simple S hook made with straight florists wire to use to hang. Seen here: amaryllis, hyacinth garlands, bell eucalyptus, callas, and a bit of smilax form a floating ceremony arch supported by a very simple construction of curly willow branches.
