Its so funny being a person who loves to chat but never knows what to talk about. I feel like Hi Can we play staring and breathing together.
day 6 / ???
this is really interesting in how it frames disability/low spoons/etc as not being a series of internal symptoms, but specifically a situation in which daily tasks increase in complexity. for example i used to be able to wash the dishes normally. but now mental and physical issues combine to make that situation have a lot of prequalifications (do I have time, energy, how long can I do it without being sore the next day) that means many more steps are involved in getting that single physical act of washing a dish to be done.
first of all, who let me get so emotionally invested in a television show

You know technology literacy is dying because I saw this meme with 76k likes
F11 the full screen button? You’re scared of the full screen button? F10?? It opens the menu bar???
Computers are so scary what if I accidentally hit F12 in a steam game and it takes a screenshot. What if I press shift + F12 while in word and accidentally save my document 😖
If you had to learn what the F keys on your computer do through me reblogging this post, then I’m glad you did. Computer literacy is not a skill that gets taught anymore, and it is absolutely one that needs to be taught in order to be learned. Don’t ever feel bad for not knowing something, but ☝️ don’t ever stop learning learning about your environment, the tools you use, and especially the people around you
Never stop learning+ Never stop sharing what you learned
Every safety regulation is written in blood, and every weird customer service question is written in the drool of an idiot before you.
Ordered the “signature omelet” (jalapeno and feta) at a place where the waitress then confirmed “That has jalapenos, is that ok? They’re spicy. And it has feta, is that ok? It’s a strong flavor.” Other people at my table thought it was stupid, but I was like “That is a woman who has had to take back a lot of omelets from people who didn’t know that jalapenos would be spicy.”
I love that, like. He KNOWS the audience want to clap and so he’s using them as an extra instrument. He turns around and goes hey, stop, and hopes they understand conductor gestures and it works, and then he has clapping he can use when he wants
The Odyssey but Penelope has been slowly killing off suitors one by one via poisoning and staged accidents >>>
“And then, upon announcing to me that he could no longer stand to live with his love unrequited, hurled himself into the sea… that was the last thing he said to me, the last person to see him before his death… I was helplessly unable to stop this tragedy…”
“You pushed him off a cliff, my lady?”
“Yes I pushed him off a cliff”
Odysseus: so how many suitors are we dealing with?
Telemachus: well there were 108 at the start but they’ve been reduced to 74
Odysseus: oh some of them left? We are still outnumbered
Eurymeus: actually it’s now only 43. Penelope took out a lot more while you were gone Telemachus
Odysseus: Penelope has been killing them?
Eurymaus: well there has been a lot of… suspicious accidents
Telemachus: My favourite was the guy who fell down three flights of stairs and got impaled on two swords in the process
@dootznbootz come get yall juice :D
Look, she’s of naiad descent. It’s not her fault some people can’t swim.
Odysseus, tears in his eyes: That’s my girl!
People love to make fun of Archeologists for how often we say objects were used ritualistically, as if we overuse that designation or just say it when we a don’t know what something was used for. But that’s only because people don’t stop to think how full of ritual all of our lives are.
The meme is actually correct for the most part, hotdogs are ritually consumed during baseball games. Lots of people only even eat hotdogs if they’re watching baseball. The expectation for us to eat turkey on thanksgiving is another example of us ritually consuming food. Drinking coffee every morning is another ritual we do. Going to the gym several days a week is a ritual.
“Ritual” doesn’t necessarily mean “religious.”
People have always been people and will continue to be people
